Halo: CE Anniversary hasn't been reviewed yet. I know it has .001% chance, but you technically can't discount it yet.
As great as it is to hear of a very successful studio developing it's next creative product, I can't help but worry of their future, given the economic climate. Not to say it's as bad as 2009-2010, but there's still much uncertainity in the world.
"Call of Duty Franchise May Not End in 2012"
Just the world as we know it :P.
Solution: Send me the beta code. :P
How can you expect metacritic to count every single "average-joe" website? It's not like they're surpressing truth, rather counting the top 100+ site, mags, etc. that get the most traffic.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will more than likely score higher. Portal 2's tied with Batman: AC (depending on certain platforms).
They've said since it's [MP] announcement that you don't have to touch the multiplayer in order to get the best ending.
^That's a good point. Although my decision's basically up in the air, I just like the idea of the invisible wall between Single Player Campaign and MP modes. I just personally think if 1 player is to play the "horde mode" of ME3 as a different species, it sort of tarnishes what playing solo on Mass Effect 3 is all about imo-considering you won't have any dialouge options in mp.
I'm a bit divisive on whether or not playing these mp modes solo would be the right thing. It somehow seems fitting if it were to require multiple players, that way solo can just be reserved for the campaign. It's also nice to hear that you don't need to play the MP to get the best possible outcome.
I find Jak 2 to be one of the PS2's best exclusives (fav. in series as well).
Summary:
- The MP affects Shepard's "Galactic Readiness" that leads up to the end fight.
- Kinect will not be utilized in the MP
- Servers are "bandwidth-friendly"
I'd like to thank the n4g users who voted for me and hope you enjoy my next blog(s)/user review(s).
Edit: Disregard this reply.
Are they really? Despite that, uc3's mp should still be praised for delivering some ideas I've never seen in tps' mp games.
Although you and I have the same opinion on that (except that I find the AC games to have a large enough leap to justify purchase), I think he's recognizing the majority, and not everyone in specific. Valve has done recycling as well this gen, and they'll hardly get as much backlash as IW has for Modern Warfare 3.
I'd personally like to have it release later. We're still seeing devs push the console further with a wider variety of technically and artistically amazing-looking games, through both retail and arcade/indie releases.
That is a good observation. Not suprising when considering the two tenets of n4g:
-Slam CoD year round
-Praise every PS3 exclusive, unless the majority say otherwise.
I hear Activision's going to pay those users to change their scores, so try posting a metacritic user review for it now. :P
It's not hard to have a review not based on opinion, it's not possible. Although I can agree with your sentimentality, no one here can tell me there's such a thing as an objective review.
That's actually something that inclines me to listen more attentively to Gamekult's reviews, especially when 10's get tossed around like candy. I've heard some of those DS games have amazing stories (by certain players).
