I'll do you one better than the Six Pack achievement for AvP: "With Friends Like These..." for The Orange Box. Granted, you're more likely to run into friends playing TF2 online (provided your friends have the right tastes).
Dang it! I'm locked out.
Sigh...does anyone have a spare Destructoid Review Season Pass code handy by chance?
Part of your statement does not contradict what I said.
-Notice the "yet improving upon the trend set by others" portion of my reply. I'm not disagreeing with the notion that no other game was as cinematic as UC2 when it released.
In regards to precursors, CoD4 already created the perfect mix of linear design that brought a plethora of cinematic levels reminiscent to Hollywood. Heck, even the likes of GRAW back in '06 was this gen's fi...
The ESRB rating is mentioned in the article specifically talking about the violence and philosophical themes.
The title is an obvious hit-magnet but you'll be surprised at the body of the article presented on their stance that it really isn't "anti-American" or "anti-conservative."
A rather confusing ordeal. Maxim is sponsoring the DLC, making it free for a limited time. Which makes me guess Season Passers can get for free at any time after it's released instead of during a window.

An interesting way to look at it.
"Side note: This sometimes reads to me like 'please press agree and bubble me up', not always but sometimes, is it just me?"
I'll admit to being ignorant of what the comment section in rumor pieces usually looks like, but I can't imagine the neutral stance winning anyone favors such as that. I would guess onlookers/fans/fanboys like to play dice with the rumor-sphere (<-forced...but I had to tr...
Although that choice is certainly one I don't have a bone against choosing (nor any of the others I've replied to), to say anyone has to be the "biggest fanboy in the world to deny X game isn't GOTG" is terribly unfair when considering how many excellent games have released this gen with less flaws.
I do find MW2 to be an exemplary FPS when it released (something I could get endlessly berated over for) but it falters in two significant aspects of MW1: <...
The first one was the first defined leap in this-gen RPG's when it comes to storytelling. The RPG/TPS hybrid frame was also incredibly well-realized.
"...it influenced so many developers that you can put games into so many cinematic levels that it would be reminiscent to a movie."
What about the games that came before it that already accomplished placing "cinematic levels?" Wouldn't that make it more of one following, yet improving upon the trend set by others?
"...and is already sparking viral controversy, both from mainstream and from less-than-reasonable sources."
I'm not sure if there's a difference between those two types of "sources" tbh.
Edit: I should give credit that this was a detailed examination about the game though (with some spoilers, however).
Eh...I thought BC1's campaign often lacked when it comes to open-world direction. So much of that open expanse served no purpose but to funnel you (chiefly) one way to X objective.
Bad Co. 2 did better when it comes to the varied landscapes too.
Surprised to notice Fred Lubens wasn't used for the more "intense" portions of that fight scene. :P
Pretty funny video.
Regardless of it being a rehashed map (which I'm pretty sure is a new map altogether) + game mode, why complain about free DLC?
Although I won't go so far as "way overrated," I'm honestly surprised to see UC2 as the de facto "GOTG" when several other PS3 exclusives are either daring to do something better either in visuals, gameplay, and/or narrative.
I think the writers catch a glimpse of US news and can't always convince themselves of the "America good" part.
I'm annoyed at seeing so many on here think DICE never pulled off an adequate campaign when the Bad Co. ones are pretty solid (1 had problems, but 2 improved). Good level design with a mixture of comedic (if sometimes annoying) squadmates who poked fun at the gun-ho war games of today.
Some may call me crazy for this: I truly believe CoD3 was Treyarch's best entry in the series.
I haven't played MGO 2 so I wouldn't know. Perhaps it is numero uno.
Don't forget to note porkChop mentions you tried way too hard to be funny in this piece. Key piece of advice to remember in the near future.
