I haven't dove into all the details of this twitter drama/always-online/etc. etc. but the news and this bland PR statement just reeks of fake publicity for the sake of keeping Xbox in discussion until their official announcement.

IF it be true...may Orth's employment be RROD'd.

Killing Bullfrog Productions, for one.

It stinks to see that, but then again inspiration doesn't operate by a schedule.

After stumbling upon the edits afterwards (good timing to see initial response, I guess :P), I can say that's a reasonable response. Thanks for taking the time to clarify.

But those differences doesn't change the fact that fan opinion on directing a game could fall under the definition of "lobbyists" with the text you've provided. Whether inside or outside of the industry, those parties have partaken in demanding the revision of something made originally by the artist or group of artists that's more closer suited to their desires.

It's correct to point out the disparity of reasonableness in their demands but that'...

Title seems a bit misleading since half of your choices are a game series, rather than an individual title. Your choices show no sign of you playing any of their games predating 2000 either.

You sure? It's been a while, but I recall getting extra points if a news post I submitted reached 100°,250°,500°, and 1000°

"Now I'm not saying that that includes fan opinion on the direction of a game..."

Why not? Just tweak about 5% of the text you provide before the quote above, and you have the same ethos of entitlement awarded to fans as it is for special interest groups (Dante's change, Bayonetta 2 to Wii U, etc. etc.)

Regardless of that portion, the comparison of how gaming corporate can be directly compared to TV/Film is sound. For Literature, you'd...

I gotta hand it to ya, Pozzle, that score screw-up is a surefire way to get that much closer to toppling Mezzo in the contributor contest this month. Well played! :P

Regardless of the actual score, I honestly didn't think the review was that good.

Allow me to clear up your confusion:

1.) Yahtzee has never cared for what metacritic has to say after actually playing both games and constructed an opinion of them.
2.) He didn't praise Survival Instinct, only elucidated what he liked about the "survival" part. He pointed out faults in plot and shooting for it.

You're making it difficult for me to concoct a reply to that inane statement.

Disney's been around since the silent era of movies.

After playing Medal of Honor (2010) and Warfighter, I can safely say Danger Close simply isn't a talented developer. Whatever sort of nuance (which is stretching the term) I found with the reboot was ignored in the sequel.

There's no guarantees of getting a bubble on here (as I've learned in the past). Your best chance at getting one: give Smokey one hundred butterfly kisses.

I've only played bits and pieces of Bioshock 1, but I'm anticipating something similar to what you're suggesting with Infinite (reinforced by the way critics are gawking over it).

Enjoyment of Double Agent varied to me because of the difference between last-gen/this-gen versions. I like sleuthing around JBA HQ in plain clothes (360's version), but it's a shame that story-based co-op wasn't on all versions.

For Conviction: That felt like a great shot in the arm for the series (conceptually)...just executed too heavily on action imo.

I figured you reached that fund goal back in 2010. :P

Anyways...have fun with blogs/reviews/comments this month, fellas. :)

I don't hate BO2's multiplayer, but it just doesn't excite me as much since Homefront's similar score streak system is much better. In BO2: assists, kills, objectives all do add towards rewards but it's constrained to the same template we've seen for years now. Others have come along and have now added better nuances.

I personally don't find the maps to be great either. Decent, sure. But not on the same level as earlier entries imo.

Basically goes back to that 'hate out of 10' video discussing inflated scores. At this rate, 9's are going to be considered "low score trolling for hits."

Haha I know what you mean, I caught a few snippets of themes/plot devices in the ending already. Most n4g users have been doing a great job with SPOILER warnings though (for the few articles I've glanced at) and I'm thankful for that.
