No problem, Cat. 'Tis be my duty to be helpful in these dire situations involving hyperlink mix-ups. :D
Quick note for Cat:
Currently, the link to Ranma1's blog leads to DragonKnight's "Video Games can't be art..." blog.
Congratulations to all winners (sigh...even Rage). Here's to another heated month of great blogs and reviews.
$50/$75 a month is more than what you got as a paid writer? O_o
Did a sweat-shop site like RantGaming hire you?
Edit: And congrats.
My best guess would be SW characters inclusion in Disney Infinity, first off. Beyond that, I honestly don't see the DI internal developer doing much beyond easier phone games and such (initially).
I expect First Assault and 1313 to be scooped up by somebody else soon.
John: Get out.
Jeremy: What? You just said that you happy for me. That...
John: I'm hanging by a thread. I'm playing don't kill myself games...
Jeremy: You said that the game wasn't yours.
John: Don't worry about the game. It isn't mine. But I demoed it.
On topic, that is an interesting game idea and wish this team the best.
Sure, mainstream has made bigger issues of other rumors, but never given any dedicated time over a non-official twitter rumor relating to a rumored console.
The thing is though, the snowball effect from this has already reached the all gaming news segments and MS has officially stated Orth isn't under the new console's production. It's one thing to cherry-pick moments of mainstream news not waiting for double confirmations, it's entirely something else to str...
"SONY didn't have full BC this gen..."
Actually, they did in one case. It was just unfortunately only tied into the 60GB phat PS3 model that's been discontinued for a long time now.
Edit: At least, that's the only one I remember.
Thank you.
Indeed, the power trip was fun (though flawed). What got me wrapped up in it was the EU story showing how the Rebel Alliance actually started. Blackman did a great job of tying a complete plot together; so much so, I'm still afraid to play TFU II. :P
I haven't seen anything about SWTOR losses tbh. I'm sure examples of poor management were known by the higher-ups. And there were certainly redundancies since they already had Disney I...
I see.
But your points aren't really grounded on things we've seen in the past. There's never been a case of some irrelevant rumor never mentioning the console by name getting any sort of time outside of gaming news outlets. Rumors with a source MS has officially denounced don't carry any weight for mainstream news outlets to even care about; in fact, your downplaying attitude of mainstream's covering of what's shown at the E3 event shows just how far beyond the possibility...
"“The movie is an utterly meaningless waste of time. There was no reason to produce it, except to make money, and there is no reason to see it, except to spend money."
Hilarious.
"Lackluster ending?"
My, my, you're certainly in the mood to debate in your comment section, aren't you? :P
Anyways, an...interesting review that still leaves me a bit anxious to play just to see where I would stand on its quality (thank goodness this review wasn't spoiler-y).
I hope everyone enjoyed the blog! Feel free to leave any comments. :)
Eh...they've consistently done some foul gaming business practices but I don't see why that should overshadow big picture issues of the dozens of other companies listed on there that have such a greater impact on the world around us.
How many of those financial institutions on there are still going about ruining others' livelihoods?
@rainslacker
The whole problem with the "retraction on 5B" angle is the fact it's aimed to be expunged at E3, the biggest time for gaming news in the whole year. All major gaming news outlets will be covering MS' details of the console minute-to-minute; even one or two non-gaming focused news networks will be there.
To say these inflammatory post-Orth rumors will sustain a greater sway in one's purchasing power over say...hearing the ac...
@Ashlen
I'm not following.
@kneon
Like I said, it's just a hunch. And what possible damage can be maintained from this IF what Orthi hints towards is indeed false? A bunch of wasted vitriol against MS over what a non-official spokesperson of the 720 project stated on twitter, that never specifically stated it was always-on, can now be used as a reason for potential customers to not purchase a gaming console...that has yet to be offi...
It feels like an easy way to generate publicity about the console without "officially" stating anything.
May Orth's employment be RROD'd.

I know I've harped on this before, but this sort of stuff seriously infuriates me. Gamers need to get some ****ing perspective before thinking of voting EA over someone like BoA, a bank that at one point in time thought it appropirate to rob you for using your BoA debit card.
That may in fact be old news, but that terrible ethos still lingers and influences so many of the major companies today. Even if we whittle this down to recent news (April 2012-April 2013), how can ...
