Yeah. Next-Gen consoles have no excuse to have less than 8GB of memory. Hell, maybe even 16GB, given how cheap the stuff is.
As for the processor, well - Ps4 seems to be going with AMD. I'm not worried.
Technically, yes, it's a PSN game, but I remember when it was going to be a major title. The graphics, acting and immersion are all top notch - that's why it has been commpared to The Last of Us, though it's clear that they will have very different gameplay mechanics.
Junko Zane.
Nuff sed.
Been watching this, sounds promising. Definitely getting it since it will probably be the only game of its type this year.
The "Last of Us" hype kinda stole the mojo from this title, but I think this could be the best (maybe only) game of its type this year.
Here's to hoping! I'm definitely getting it.
@persistantthug You totally missed the point. The point is actually that my PC only cost about $1200 to make, so it ISN'T bragworthy. AMD gives you a lot of horsepower affordably, so a Ps4 with BC isn't impossible. Sure, the standard model probably won't, but it would be great to be able to spend a bit more for a fully BC model.
@bunfighterii why does next gen need to be "so much better"? That's all new gens ever are: A graphical & technical upgr...
I have an AMD 6 core processor and 16GB of memory. My PC can run any emulator without performance loss and AMD's virtualization technology means that emulation takes advantage of all available cores.
The point is, if the PS4 is going all AMD, Backwards Compatibility is not impossible. It's just going to COST, that's all.
In that case, I see Sony possibly releasing a higher-tier version of the Ps4 which has Ps3 & Ps2 Backwards Compatibility. Th...
Well the funny thing is, I think of most Zelda games as hardcore (they are tough and reward speed and focus), but I have no respect for Wii.
I think Skyward Sword was a very good game, but I hate the fact that I had to play it with motion controllers.
I'll only respect kinect-like getups as hardcore once you can sit down and do subtle hand movements to control the game instead of all this "OooOOO look, I'm REALLY doing it" nonsense.
Wow....did the Ps3 just reach over from the grave and kick Wii's ass? According to this article it might have!
I define hardcore by how much precision control your "controller" allows you to send to a game.
The Vita would probably count as hardcore ( I don't have mine yet ) because of its dual analogue sticks....you can fine-tune your sniper shot for instance. Gimmicky controllers ( Wii Motion+ and probably WiiU ) place the focus of "fun" on the INPUT, whereas hardcore controllers place the "fun" in the RESULT of the INPUT (in the actual) game.
Heheh, pretty funny.
"Over a hundred people spent several years of their lives to make this game. If you like what you play, please consider paying for it....."
Ha, I'd be just fine with M$ going after the Wii, seeing as I don't play either one. If that happens the Ps4 will be the centerpiece for hardcore gamers for the next 6-10 years.
BTW, any console that has a touchpad does not reach for hardcore audiences. A touchpad is something called a "gimmick"
I actually can't wait for this game...
sucker for open world, I guess.
Wow Sony, you are awesome!!
Yes, improve the vita.
Then I'll buy it.

If you have the monies then go for it.
As far as the ps3 is concerned, yes.
PC is a whole 'nother ball park.
I just bought a Seagate Momentus XT (hybrid drive, is part SSD part HDD). Supposedly just as good as an SSD but with 750gb capacity. ~$180, replaces the 160gb that came with my limited edition Ps3.
Was going to get a 120gb SSD but they end up costing the same, and tests done so far indicate that the hybrid drive has like 90% of the performance of a straight up SSD (probably due to the fact that there's actually 6gb of actual SSD in it).
Cutscenes are not evil.....putting them in the wrong places IS!
