"blah blah blah ... It’s at this point that I begin to question how in touch Sony is with the market today ... blah blah blah" ~Article
Well that's your problem. You and those like you need to stop worrying about Sony's profits (or lack thereof). As a hardcore gamer, Sony makes my world, and if they only do just enough to keep existing, then all's right.
To oversimplify: If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all!
Some good ones in there. You could also add:
"If you don't shut up, I'm going to cut off your hands and bitch-slap you with them all the way to where we're going..."

I find myself not caring, what with all these awesome exclusives and whatnot.
Well said.
I would say, rather, they all have their moments. Longer moments, in the case of Sony and Nintendo.
Edit: I'm biased in their favor because I prefer story-based games (read: Single-player) to shooters (read: multiplayer)
Looks - like stuff we've seen.
Still cool though.
Realm of the Mad God.
(even though it's not steam-exclusive)
I think an entire release with a full campaign from the Chimeran perspective could save the franchise. It could start at the beginning showing their homeworld, possible infighting and expansion. Maybe humanity wasn't the first species they attacked ...
Yeah, everything else is just so atrocious.

No mention of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
It's one of the most immersive shooters I've ever played, but it had a huge flaw: the energy-bar system. To recharge your energy for those awesome attacks, you literally had to stop and eat candybars. I mean seriously.
So of course one of the first upgrades I unlocked was supposed to recharge these bars. Get this - it only recharges the *FIRST* bar (out of the 7 or so possible energy cells you can upgrade to). ...

My what now?
Yeah, normally I'm a CoD hater but this looks pretty good.
The "disagree" trolls are out in force today, aren't they?
Heavy Rain
Uncharted 2
Portal & 2
inFamous & 2
Journey
When / after playing these games, I really had to let a breath out and think about just how far its come. I hope next generation people stop competing in the eye-candy department and focus on stories/gameplay. GFX has reached 80/20
I agree. I find myself replaying it frequently. I miss the simplicity, not of the game world, but of the assassin himself. The soundtrack by Jasper Kyd was the best in the series so far, and really helped to craft some memorable chase sequences. I hope they bring that music back in ACIII, even a remix would kick ass.
Good list. Switch the 3's for 2's though, then you'll have it nailed.
Wasn't 'Home' banned from showing on the network? I've got to check that one out, someone just told me about it recently.
As represented in the article:
5: Meh
4: Spot-on
3: So it hasn't been done right yet, so we shouldn't try? -.-
2: Right, but only because of media / misunderstanding.
1: Same as #2. The author seems to think that if we do something in a game, it will make us want to do it in real life. This perception needs to end.
OH HO! See what he did there? XD
