That's not true at all. Handhelds might shoot for similar graphics, but they're rendering them at a much lower resolution than the consoles. Also even the Vita which was a powerhouse at the time if you compare games in the same series you'll see that while they look pretty similar, the scale is always toned way down. Look at Uncharted and Killzone on the Vita and you'll see.
3DS especially was no where near the 360/ps3 when it came ...
Too bad WaW is unplayably hacked. Would have to get private lobbies or just some zombies.
The thing is, isn't a higher native resolution and framerate an inherent advantage in multiplayer games? I know that's kind of a given on PC but i think a console should be a level playing field.
The UE4 version looks like it hasn't fully loaded yet or something. The only clear improvement i can see is on Mr. Freeze's suit.
It's a shame because i thought the first one was kinda fun. The whole open world thing is turning me off this one. Also i had no clue it was releasing so soon... not good. This game could sink Crytek.
Releasing a half-finished game hurt it.
SF5 also just lacked any visual evolution. Look at SF2 to SF3 and SF3 to SF4 - it's an entirely different visual experience. SF5 looks pretty much the same as 4.
Hopefully you don't end up with a deadbeat that takes advantage of the situation by delaying his uncharted playthroughs to stay in the basement
If i were you i'd wait and see what's up with the ps4k if you're gonna wait a month anyway.
The reason they announced the NX was because they were also making the mobile announcement. They wanted to reassure fans that they were still working on dedicated gaming hardware. If they didn't announce it, instead of the slew of NX articles, what would we get?
"Nintendo remains silent on future gaming hardware"
"Nintendo announces mobile plans - with no future gaming plans"
"Did the Wii U just kill Nintendo hardware?"
...
Lol, its because MS recently discontinued production.
I disagree. I made the mistake of selling my GC and all its games in 2006 when everyone else was, and it cost me a lot. Nowadays first party Nintendo games on the GC sell for damn near what i paid for them 10 years ago (30-50).
I would recommend anyone with a Wii U to hold on to it for a few years and see where the market takes the games.
You are the one flip flopping now. You used to go on and on about how there was a 5 year minimum on SUPPORT not production. If we were talking production the GC didn't cease until 2007, N64 til 2002, and their older consoles were being made for much longer in smaller markets.
People were worried about Nintendo ceasing support for the console, and it seems they are after Paper Mario and Zelda. I dont think anyone cares how long Nintendo sells the console for, but how lo...
I always said if NX released in 2016 and Nintendo shorted me with the Wii U i would stop supporting Nintendo. The March 2017 release makes that technically not exactly the case but I will still wait at least 2 years before i even consider the NX.
They really have to play their cards right to come back from the Wii U's failure.
It's baffling that they haven't put out a price drop since September 2013.
I bet some Wii U games will be so expensive years from now due to limited quantity.
I got 40 on MK8, 212 on Smash 4, 28 on Bayo 2, 60 on Deus Ex, and 30 on Mario Maker
I thought it was more hit than miss. It's hard to make a consistently funny 10 or so hour game. It's why strictly comedic games are rarely attempted. It didn't do well because it was a heavily stylized and unique game on a console without a big install base at the time
For a modern game? Not at all. It's definitely on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of the big publishers. Even Xenoblade Chronicles X was made with a team of 80, compare that to other JRPG's and it's a tiny team.
Too bad we are getting those as well.
And you were forced to buy an xbone?
I think you missed the point. He was saying that, as consumers, we will decide whether this succeeds or not. If people buy it, like Nintendo's handhelds revisions, Sony will probably make it a regular inter-generational inclusion. If they don't, they won't.
Also want to give credit to Platinum with the touch controls in Bayonetta 2 - although made for casual gamers it allowed my one armed friend to play through the whole game. It was the first game he played comfortably in 8 years since a car crash.
He would play games with both sticks but only by gluing a popsicle stick to the left stick and controlling that with his chin. Got really awkward after 45 mins.
