What did you use it for? Just curious.
I didnt like it because i would accidentally use it and take a bit to figure out how to get rid of it. I like how it is niw because i can seamlessly look at achievements like on 360.
I havent played 3 but i remember 2 being kind of in the player's face about how hard and difficult it is.
Nintendo should push for revelations 3 instead.
@curtis
Monster hunter isnt a vast open world, not sure if you've played it. Theyd probably use it for monster hunter because those games sell very well on Nintendo platforms. An HD monster hunter game is long overdue and would be a big hit in Japan.
Resident Evil games dont, however. Even exclusive ones like Zero.
I have no doubt it could run on switch, but theyd have to compress the game to fit on a 25gb cartridge as well tweak th...
Maybe at 720p 30 fps.
If it can run at 1080p ~55 fps on xbone it could prob be tweaked to run on switch.
They would have to tweak the game ridiculously to make it a desirable version of the game though.
The RE engine is coming to switch, but capcom will probably use it for monster hunter.
Probably wasnt bullshit. You know they would include a version of goldeneye if they could - especially since its actually got a finished 360 port.
There's a lot of legal limbo with Nintendo (producer), Rare's people that worked on the game, and EA (owns Bond game license).
Idk how you couldnt say this industry is plagued with the same tired mechanics, ideas, and imagery. False hope with bloated budgets and 300 man teams cranking out a game with microtransactions and a 30 dollar season pass.
You keep saying that unconventional is not INHERENTLY good when i never said it was. But last time Nintendo passed the reigns on to a smaller, younger, more inspired team... we got Splatoon. And before that we got Animal Crossing. And i had a lot of fun wi...
@kreisen
They're both in a tough spot. By having 5 hour campaigns with meh stories, they put all their bets in multiplayer.
And both games have a solid MP mode, but the campaigns were a big part of what made these series popular. Especially Halo.
I pray that Halo 6 knocks it out of the park. We can't say goodbye to Halo with a game on the level of 5 or even 4.
@bluetears
It also doesn't mean its bad. Any other revelations, nostradamus?
Hell at this point i'll take a 7/10 "unconventional" game over a 9/10 "conventional" one.
I figured the guy attacking DA: Inquisition in another thread would be inclined to agree.
Yeah i like the wii u. Prob only like 30 games worth playing, but a lot of those are some of the best games of the generation. They were polished to a T as well.
Splatoon was unconventional, and its a great game.
Nice to see diversity is met with such positivity on n4g.
Say what you will about nintendo, but some unconventional games sound nice to me right now. Im sick of throwing in a game and being told "use RS to look!" or being met with bugs or microtransactions.
He didnt say the game would sink without him? Dont put words in someones mouth when you reply. These are the facts:
Jontron has a right to say what he wants
Playtonic has a right to remove him if they want
Its as simple as that. You throwing tired words at Jon, hate is basically an ad hominem at this point, is also fine.
He was in game grumps with egoraptor for a while. He's a big fan of Rare's games and is friends with Grant Kirkhope who composed Banjo Kazooie and is doing the Yooka Laylee sountrack.
Kinda surprised ppl dont know him on n4g since hes in gifs everywhere and his vids are popular
My issue was the game pushed itself as "the return of survival horror". I started the game throwing bottles and stealth killing enemies like every game in 2013-2014.
Then i basically played the return of RE4 with a nonsense story as an excuse to show some cool enemy design.
Then i found myself doing banal gears-esque turret sections. So by the time i finished the game i had played everything but "the return of survival horror".
I mean capcom tends to use one engine at all times. They used MT Framework last gen.
So they'd probably use RE engine for other in-house games like Monster Hunter.
Tbh the only one ive enjoyed is Deus Ex: MD and thats ignoring its meh story.
The 360??
Get a wii u. Theyre cheaper, built better and already have like 20-30 games to play including zelda.
@undertaker
I uh... did snap the achievements, it was just clunkier and took a while to load compared to the 360.
It was just a clunky system Imo.
