Its big enough, but the highlight imo was the detail packed into every corner of that game. I hope that translates well into spidey.
Disagree. Look at the 6th gen - there were tons of single player first party games that targetted 60 fps. Not only that, they tried to eliminate load screens as well.
MGS2, Jak and Daxter series, Ratchet and Clank series, Metroid Prime series, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Zone of the Enders, a ton of Dreamcast games...
Thats off the top of my head. It was never a majority but a larger amount than today.
As an xbox owner i was sorely disappointed by their e3. They have nothing for me but crackdown this year, which i have been waiting 3.5 years for. The fact that Sea of Thieves was announced in 2014 means i might be waiting 4 years for it.
Sony i thought was good, but not great like their past 2 e3's have been.
Nintendo's got a great line up this year, their best since 2014. But nothing on the horizon makes me want to get a switch right this minute...

Thats because theoretically this game has a deep and rewarding combat system. Action games are usually short. MGR and Bayonetta are 6-8 hour games.
The Order is point and shoot, with QTE's and cutscenes in between.
The wii was plagued by supply shortages to an even greater extent than the switch, but considering Switch didnt even launch during the holiday season these numbers are impressive.
I'm gonna wait for a sale since the developers didn't bother to get this running at 60 frames.
I can't believe no one cares a remake/remaster/WHATEVER of a platformer from the 90's is running at 30 fps. Platformers, especially hard ones like Crash, are wholly deserving of prioritizing the better control of higher framerate over visual fidelity.

True, and i love their DK games.
But Metroid attracts its own audience. When Prime 1 came out it was a huge deal with a killer ad campaign and it was a technical showcase for the Gamecube. It sold really well on that console too, over 2 million copies on the GC was a difficult thing to do.

Monster hunter on a portable will sell more than monster hunter on a console. This is a given.
A PS4 MH would take longer to develop, cost more to develop, and sell less than a Switch MH. So if its on PS4 sony must've had a hand in that choice.
The switch is definitely a better thought-out console than its predecessor.
I think it will end up as one of nintendos most content rich platforms ever. I just hope if the concept strives, that they arent afraid to just make a Switch 2 rather than re-invent the wheel.

Especially on Switch where you dont need to install anything and the cart holds all data.

I dont think mass murderer laura would be that bad, but they confront the issue head on. Its kind of immersion breaking, either you have a carefree killer like Indy or Nathan Drake, or you dont.
You cant murder 60 people in a level and then have the character break down - those are conflicting themes.
So yeah, more puzzles would be awesome.
