Question: what's coming out this year for the holiday/fall season besides Forza?
The studio acquisitions were my favorite part, but it'll be years before we see the products.
Halo looks like its back on track imo, i know it was just a teaser but the art style and music were very Halo 3.
Gears is always good
Nier is coming to Xbox, that's awesome
DLC for SoT and Cuphead looks good
Battletoads is a nice touch.
...
Dont think they showed enough gameplay for me to call it similar DmC remake.
Isn't this the guy that made DMC 3 and 4? He knows what he's doing... those games are top tier.
Game was pretty good, just shouldn't have been shoved into the DMC IP
One thing no one can deny: Ninja Theory's artists are among the best.
Ninja theory will be an excellent single party studio for Xbox.
Halo needs a break because Halo 5 was a mess in terms of story, but Gears is solid imo. Gears 4 multiplayer is still on my rotation, they just needed a liiiittle work on the campaign and it wouldve been one of the best Gears games.
But we’ll probably see both at E3.
Ive been waiting 4+ years now :/
Better be good, no GaaS BS!

There was definitely a debate as to whether or not FF7 Remake was a console exclusive for ps4. Generally it was assumed that it would be on PS4 and eventually PC. Im somewhere there saying it would probably find its way to Xbox too just looking at Square Enix’s patterns.
This doesnt prove anything though, ive never even heard of this site. I could...
Alternatively, as someone who played the first one for maybe 20 hours and enjoyed it for what it was, there’s nothing big added to the game other than co-op and thats what kills it for me. The coop system (in which theres one host player and 3 “helpers”) is really confusing and poorly implemented.
I have a feeling SoD3 will be an mmo with the exact same gameplay.
One of the weirdest features in this game is a rewind feature to help you when you get stuck ...
@Kribwalker
Correction, they are the Uncharted and TLOU studio for 11 years now.
Maybe, but i found the content really fun. It was an adventure. Cant wait to see what else Rare adds, even though the game definitely needed more content at launch.
Imagining a new Fatal Frame in HD with the old school camera angles is too much for my heart to handle.
I mean, Lair and Panzer Dragoon were nothing like Scalebound.
It doesn't really matter because Scalebound is not being revived. That team hasn't sat on their hands for months waiting for MS to re-greenlight their game. They're working on Bayonetta 3 and other projects now.
They've made no statements about moving towards self-publishing their games. And really, Scalebound is the only time that really backfired. They just announced Bayo 3 with Nintendo.
They've made 3 or so games with Activision, and although the quality of them was not up to par, i think the funds from those games were important for the company. Similar to how Grasshoper Manufacture releases crappy licensed games so they can dedicate more resources to Suda51 games.
Lost Odyssey
Blue Dragon
Tales of vesparia
Halo 3 (which isn't on PC)
Halo Reach
Kameo
Crackdown
DOA 4
Gears 2 +3
Project Gotham Racing 4
Also a ton of good bullet hell games
Last i played was 2014 but even then it was pretty well populated.
After BC dropped i got back on and yup, full games.
Very true.
I think MS was toe to toe with the competition with the OG Xbox and the 360 in terms of quality output right up until 2011 when the games just evaporated.
They had a potentially decent line up but the forced co-op, windows ports, and GaaS stuff really slowed their output and led to games being outright cancelled.
Halo: MCC, Sunset Overdrive, Rare Replay, and Gears 4 are the only really solid experiences I’ve had on the conso...
@fewDankMemes
If you think MS is not buying exclusive content out of the goodness in their hearts, you’re wrong.
Game only takes up 26 gigs on xbone iirc. Game would probably run at 720p on switch - that can be compressed to fit on a switch rather easily.
Im kinda confused what switch gamers will be playing... its not running on the switch if its in the cloud...
State of Decay 1 was a good starting point for the series but SoD2 clearly didnt get the talent necessary to make it something special. The truth is these guys probably put a lot of work into this game but the team needed to be bigger for a bigger game.
@Skull
Most people buy physical though.
TLOU 2 looks incredible, as expected.
edit: that was the pre-show
