Oh the wii u, 299 right up to the end

I think it's obvious they gave up on the wii u after MK8. At some point they decided they'd rather sell their remaining stock for a profit than drop it any further.

Those are two completely different scenarios though, the Switch doesn't need a price drop for the foreseeable future. Price drops will never happen to show good faith.

To an extent i agree, but BotW has a mystique to it that is so much better than a ubisoft game. If it was just the towers and the seeds and the shrines then yeah, itd be pretty ubisoft-esque in design.

The maiden statue, lost temple, the dragons, Tarry town, my first fairy or my first time seeing the weird fluroscent mountain. Those moments really stuck with me and the game has more mystery to it in that way. I remember discovering the jungle town for the first time after s...

viva pinata was ahead of its time in a way, i couldve seen it being a huge hit had it come out 6 or so years after it did but on the iphone.

The games themselves are quite good though and rank as my favorite post-Nintendo Rare games.

@kalkano

Octopath isnt low budget, its just stylized and trying to harken back to snes jrpgs. I think it’ll age better for it.

My issue is that there was a game made by roughly 10 people that was selling for full MSRP that you see for RPG's, fighters, or open world games crafted by hundreds of employees and much more content.

I feel for the situation with the flood (i acutally lost important stuff in a flood recently) but it sounds like whoever ,made the decision not to delay and not to properly inform consumers (whether it was Hello Games or Sony) made the wrong call.

Seriously, with the downvotes?

Props to Hello Games for keeping with the game, but they still released a 60 dollar tech demo that looked nothing like the baked E3 demos (which they had the gall to claim werent baked on stage!)

At launch there was a sticker covering up the part of the box that said "multiplayer".. nuff said...

Surely they wont make the same mistake of “not enough Dante” again.

Sure nero is featured prominently in the trailer but they might just be saving plot details with Dante. Not after such a big talk about how this is the game fans have been waiting for, etc at E3.

And you dont have to install physical games (barring some that require downloads)

This... the online is a joke. The 360 was better in 2005 and it baffles me how Nintendo still cant just have an online system that is functional, fast, and not tethered to your phone.

My biggest frustration was when they finally sorted out how they were doing switch games on MyNintendo, and the meager amount of points ive accumulated for BotW, Mario Odyssey, Splatoon, Arms, and tons of digital releases amounted to pretty much nothing. When the Wii U and 3DS had mediocre lau...

Its probably more like they wanted you to take your GC memory card to some kiosk or arcade games to get a free ROM.

They did something similar with F Zero GX unlocking tracks from its arcade counterpart AX.

The PS3, which had a really soft launch there, is outselling it in the same timeframe.

They just dont want consoles there.

I cant think of anything Sony could put out that could help PS4 keep its lead.

Imagine Dead Space 1 without the side characters telling you what to do. Its just Isaac alone and insane in the environment - terrifying prospect.

It alaways seemed like the natural evolution of the series to me.

@The 10th Rider

But its not framed that way in the pitch, and there is a legal obligation to deliver a product or return the money.

Crowdfunding is already in the gutter after Mighty No 9 and numerous other debacles.

Maaaybe Bloodstains can redeem it on the small scale.

Eh, as a fan of the earlier games i thought ratchet and clank both felt lacking in personality. The graphics and gameplay were still great though.

See, I like the simplicity of the game. I think if they took these skills and abilities and relegated them to the PVE only it would be a good addition, but I also like the level playing field of the game in terms of PVP.

I want more customization of the ship (lanterns, cannons, bells, the bow, the captains quarters, etc.) and that would incentivize me to jump back in.

The next DLC is for AI ship battles so maybe they'll have some of what you're l...

Its also been said to be 90% complete. Either way if they release what they have, i could easily see a fan project to finish it.

The game neared completion twice but the asshats at 3D realms kept restarting from the ground up because a new engine would attract them. Ultimately they ended up with that rubbish id tech 3 version.

@itplrbear

I wouldnt be too surprised. Microsoft is in the business of making money moreso than either of the other big 3.

Minecraft is on every platform despite being their (very valuable) IP. All their games are on PC too.

Rare made multiple titles for the DS and GBA because MS felt that was a good use of their resources. Sure MS didnt have a hand in the portable market, but those were still 10-20 man teams they committed to games on ...
