Metroid Other M is a game no one wanted. The fact that it sold as well as Prime 3 is because it had a overblown ad campaign and Prime 3 debuted next to Halo 3 with no ad campaign.

I've noticed this date on gamestop for quite a while. to be honest i think its a placeholder, as according to Kamiya the game didnt enter full development until after development on TW101 ended. But it's probably been in the making for a while so who knows.

last light is probably the best looking game developed on the budget that it was, hell it can compete with some big budget AAA games.
^ im just saying there's a few similar mechanics and difficulty, and both are decidedly hardcore games, one of which found good success on the system. and monster hunter is very difficult without a full team. 3 ultimate isnt that hard but the old psp games were tough.

the game is similar to monster hunter in the sense that it has third person action gameplay and brutal difficulty. and monster hunter 3 ultimate sold at least 500k this year.
Ive always said i didnt mind the wii u, just the way nintendo treated both it and their customers.
A lot of the wii audience were casuals, but god knows how many actual gamers it inflated the market with. maybe even more than the ps2, given the circumstances.
TLOU is great and fully deserving of GOTY, but not game of the gen. There were games that wholly surpassed it in gameplay, depth, art design and storytelling.
For me game of the gen would be Xenoblade, Bioshock 1, RDR, Deus Ex Human Revolution or Fallout 3.

Theyre definitely in as good as a position as they can be in japan, with monster hunter, dragon quest, and now a dynasty warriors cross over.
