They will dominate because the competition is lacking. I think the wii u is a great system and is perfect for my light gaming schedule, but nintendo have pretty much admitted it is a me-too platform, one with scarce 3rd party support. It has pretty much every game i couldve dreamed to have like bayonetta 2 and X, but thats me... and a couple million more, as of now. The xbox one had a disasterous launch and is clinging to TWO sinking ships (TV and motion controls) they didnt even need to clin...
^^
Well i mean you said:
"...while the sale increase may be high in terms of percentage, the sale numbers are still low."
I thought you meant 78,000 was a high percentage increase but not a high number, i guess you meant that wii u sales in general over the past few months have been mediocre even if a high percentage increase? Sorry for the confusion. In that case i agree.
All youve done is troll the past few weeks of wii u news. Seriously look at this guys history lol. Damn near 80,000 units is great for japan.
I agree that nintendo always gets significant increases around the holidays, but these numbers are not "low". Theyre pretty solid, even great for wii u.
I think they will still have a decent market share. They have monster hunter, dragon quest and now a dynasty warriors crossover game on lock, for now at least. They seem to know japan very well, but europe and NA are the markets they need to start worrying about.
^on top of those
Shin Megami Tensei 4
Mario and Luigi: Dream Team
Etrian Odyssey 4
Resident Evil Revelations
Kid Icarus Uprising
i imagine its not very graphically intensive, like dynasty warriors.
OT i hope this partnership with tecmo proves worthwhile, and they make a new fatal frame, as that game would be perfect for the system.
How did this sell, just curious...?
Did something new come out? I mean dragon quest was last week.
Nintendo platforms usually get a significant boost during the holidays. Still the wii u being the bestselling home console in japan 3 weeks in a row is a sight to behold.
@thereapersson
Dude, the average is about 7 hours. That's the consensus from reviews too. you dont judge a game's length by the ONE time that is 3 times longer than everyone else's. That's silly.
And for 20 bucks its a steal, but i bought that game at launch for 40.
i wouldnt say so, in the case of tearaway at least. love the game to pieces but its far from a long game like he wanted.

soul sacrifice is awesome though.
to be fair ps plus comes with free games and other perks, and you dont need to pay to access most features or free to play games.
unfortunately it isnt enough to get me paying routinely (already an antisocial gamer, mostly stick to singleplayer stuff), but i might buy a month or two when a good online game comes out.
they should release this on the eshop. (one day)
i hope we get another gen where all 3 companies find success. Like last gen. That'd be best for the gamers and industry in general.
@admiralvic
sure, i do count TW101, but what else is there to name? miyamoto's currently unnanounced new IP, that's all i can think of. and X is probably a xeno title, which is an existing franchise. i can give nintendo some credit over MS for trying different things with existing IP's, but MS still probably has stuff coming in the pipeline. They just bought so many studios, to say "only hal0!!1!" is really shortsighted and ignorant.
Even still, there's more than halo coming to xbox one, i think its kind of ignorant to say that's all MS is making >_>
im not saying MS is making more new IP's than sony but there's clearly stuff on the way. the 360 had tons of exclusives in it's youth before MS disowned it.
-_-
titanfall, that new blacktusk game, sunset overdrive, project spark, quantum break. might be forgetting some.
Let's be fair here. MS isn't just making gears and halo anymore. nintendo's the only one REALLY stagnating here.
while i agree this is a dick move and is really ridiculous of nintendo, they are largely welcoming of indies and the support many genres get by 3ds and wii owners makes indie support for wii u natural.
That game actually looks cool from the trailer >_> am i missing something, is that another game i should be hating?
Well said.
I think its awesome that they decided to do something different... rather than another black box with another usual controller. Nothing wrong with that, but with 2 of those already competing heatedly on the market, i feel like things would be a lot less interesting without wii u. Its the kind of features and games it has that gives it real identity, something i felt was lacking the last 2 gens, especially the last.
The wii was interesting, but the power really held ...
