Conaidering its a year old the wii u did good this christmas. I thought itd do bad to be honest.

So this is off topic, but im thinking of getting a vita soon, and i obviously want the OLED model. Is there a visible difference on the box, because i want to buy it new too. And also is it still sold alongside the more recent model

Yeah if you ask me Resogun is one of the best games on PS4, but its only really fun for a day or two. And a couple F2P FPS games ported from 2012 like BL and Planetside (not out yet) and aren't enough for me, personally. I didnt buy a ps4 at launch (though i play it at my friends house all the time) but if i did i would've picked up killzone or BF4 or SOMETHING, because i want a game that shows the power and keeps me occupied. The thing is, the PS4 comes with no games out of the box (unless you get PS+ but thats just resogun i believe), so you basically HAVE to buy something to play. Whereas the wii u comes with one or even 2 games with some bundles. You cant say "PS4 owners buy more games" because a lot of them are coming from people who just bought the system and actually want something to play. And even then, considering this week less than half the amount of wii u'...
Dude... the ps4 is a brand new console that doesn't come bundled with any games. The wii u's been out a year and comes with a game or even 2 if you buy the right bundle.
yeah but it was bundled with some consoles and it was one of only 2 retail sony exclusive games at launch (the other being killzone). and everyone like Lukas and newmonday and them acted like it outsold mario xD. i remember saying "only in UK" and got nothing but disagrees. that's why everyone's focusing on knack.
yeah, xbox owners definitely buy a lot of games, thats for sure. even with less consoles sold:

the ps4 is clearly attracting a lot of the xbox 360's crowd, and once the xbox fans all have their xbones, sales will probably plummet like the wii u (though probably not as bad). the ps4 clearly has enough hype to overcome a drought whereas the xbone does not.
Singularity and Vanquish are two i never hear much about.
The industry is growing in number, but what's that worth when people only buy a certain genre or a certain series?
I still think the 5th and 6th gens were the sweetspot in which everyone owned a horror game, a shooter, a couple platformers, fighters, etc. Because no developer really found the goldmine that is FPS's, and there were thus a huge variety of games to play.
The thing is its still second on the sales charts, when you're competing with final fantasy in japan you're not going anywhere soon. Also, after verifying on vgchartz, zelda has never been that big in japan.
It's like when people say "oh cod is dying" when ghosts failed to beat the black ops 2's sales records after like 4 straight years of beating their own record sales. That's still one of the best selling games this year.

To be fair they dont invest in shit stuff for japan. Blue dragon and lost odyssey were good games. And rumor says one of the exclusives they got for xbone is being made by platinum games.

blade runner is suuuch a good game.
