it looks awesome but one thing they need to work on is giving the weapons some presence and impact. it feels like all i could hear was people screaming and numbers flying everywhere.

your expectations were way too high. new smash character, amazing new trailers for DK, MK 8, Bayonetta 2, extended gameplay of X and some minor eshop announcements, even learned about some cool indie games i never heard about. Release dates revealed. i honestly couldnt ask more wihtout being unreasonable.
you cant expect them to reveal games every time. they need to save stuff for e3. i made note of the retweets, i expected what i got and then some.

Wii u has some pretty awesome games actually, far from lame. Especially by the end of next year when X will likely come out.
I used to feel the same but there genuinely is a ton of great wii games that flew under the radar. I used to bash the wii but after i kindve dug around in the deep recesses of the library i can respect it as having a lot of great games, even outside of nintendo themselves. like fatal frame 4 for those that imported it... probably the only true survival horror game along with siren blood curse.

Starting to fear theyre making it seem like more games are coming out this year than there actually will be. Like they did with pikmin 3. Smash bros seems like late summer at the earliest. Bayonetta 2 only recently reached full development. 3 month gap right at the beginning of the year too. They better have plenty of stuff cooking because this years starting to look worse and worse.

Youd have to be completely inept to think ANY of those games would sell a 300 dollar system. The wonderful 101, a game by a company that has never once met sales expectations. Pikmin 3, a sequel to two niche gamecube games that themselves werent big successes. Lego city... just no. Windwaker, an hd remake? Only fanboys thought any of those single games could save a system.
The only one that could was mario, and it actually gave the system the best month since launch...
I just got it, wholeheartedly agree. Havent liked FF (other than tactics) since X and even that was a bittersweet experience to me. First thing i did was switch on japanese voices though o_o...
Hope the west buys this so we can count on the the sequel coming.

Should i switch to hard? For reference i beat SMT IV and FE:A last year on normal but that was much more punishing obviously. This feels a little too easy comparatively but it might just be the beginn...
Localization for a big jrpg like that will no doubt take a while.
One thing i will give nintendo props on is NEVER releasing a buggy game, even if quicker releases would help out the wii u they will take the time to release technically flawless, complete games. Thats the minority in this day of day 1 patches, day 1 DLC, etc...
