Lol there were a lot of bullet hells on 360, actually awesome games.
Everyone rags on Iwata (including me, most the time) but he did a good job turning GC around. The two years he was CEO were among the two bestselling years for that console.
Nintendo originally wanted like 50 million cubes by 2005, and they had about 18, so that shows how far back their crazy predictions go.
It was revealed last year in January in a few screens... then it disappeared for a year and a half until we saw it at e3 2014. So you're way off.
The real reason its not generating much hype is because as a whole Yoshi games are usually pretty mediocre. Yoshi's island is the only great one. This is the first time in a while that a Yoshi game had a budget bigger than a piggy bank.
It is a nice thing to have. The thought of having to keep this bigass 360 hooked up even after i get an xbone just to play the 40 games i have on 360 is a little disheartening.
That said BC has been on the way out. Whereas Ps2 had almost flawless BC, PS3 has limited. Also the 360 had dodgy BC.
I really wanna know how that wasn't profitable (they said it wasnt). I mean... where did the budget go? There's no multiplayer, its technically flawed, it looks kind of bad, and its not all that long. What did they need to sell...?
Bad press is toxic as hell these days. I can see how many might be dissuaded by all the negativity. I mean imagine being a parent buying your kid a gift and googling "Wii U" and the first thing you see is some BS about it "being discontinued next year" according to some crackpot analyst.
I have to hand it to you, this is a very interesting take on a controversial topic. Made me think.
However i must disagree, i feel like death and even murder are fundamental occurences in life and a recurring theme in every medium. The simulation of them is only a natural progression, and the basis of ridding pixels of their digital existence has been around as long as videogames have. What are often considered mankinds greatest artistic productions revolve around themes of m...
I didn't even read the article yet, i have no idea if it's any good. There's just a massive amount of errors with its posting.
This is sad, but true. I think the Vita had, and still has a load of untapped potential. Great hardware that will likely never see the longevity of the PSP the way Sony is treating it.
I wonder if they make a successor to the Vita, if it will solely focus on remote play. I honestly wouldn't be surprised.
The game was a success?! It was the most expensive title Platinum has ever developed and also their worst selling ever. It has only recently broke 200k... that is HORRIBLE.
@admiralvic
Please, don't put quotes around words that i didn't say, that's kind of annoying. I never said its a problem. I'd just rather not daisy chain another hunk of plastic to my wii u and have to somehow cram it in with the 5 consoles under my TV. I'd also rather have a disc then digital. As would a lot of the people posting above me.
Yeah but that direct cost Nintendo nothing to make. They needed to put it in magazines, make commercials, etc.
Not that it would've helped too much, this is an extremely odd game. It looks like a kid's game but is rated T, it looks accessible but is very complex... it really was sort of doomed from the start.
If the year was 1988 and this was a NES game i could see it resulting in a TV spin off, tons of merch and a few sequels. But today is not 1988. ...
This is like the millionth comment you've posted about that. We get it >_>
I wouldve agreed with you if i found that comment earlier. Wii u's storage is too small for nintendo to keep feeding us all these download codes.
Hey, calm down.
Yeah its a sad sight to see that these numbers are considered "good" in japan these days, but honestly in the forseeable future the Wii U is the only next gen console with any success there. Nintendo's bringing out very japanese-centric releases there:
SMT x FE
Hyrule Warriors
Fatal Frame
Bayonetta 2
Xenoblade X
Thats on top of the inevitable animal crossing, party games, etc. whic...
Idk, as kids we all thought simultaneous multiplayer mario was an amazing thought but if you look at the levels in the trailer its clear they're designed for one player and two would ruin the flow.
Because for the vast majority of the past 8 years they outsold the competition, that's why its surprising. With the exception of the Wii anyway. Its just surprising to see how much market share theyve lost going from 360 to One.
Crimson skies would be awesome. Air combat has been dead lately :l
I think if they market halo 1-4 and sunset overdrive they could win a few months in NA.
Ooooh i love me some Fatal Frame. I own all of them including the two i had to import.
