The thing is 4 million is not a great number even if it is past expectations. Im sure they'll break 3.6 mil (their estimate) but that still puts it behind the gamecube LTD.
Im looking at your comment history, all you do is troll xbox articles and then, of all the positive things you could point out on this, you choose to spin good Xbone numbers as negative just because they didnt outsell PS4 and then try and defend yourself with circumstantial evidence (bringing up sales numbers from a month which had a price cut announcement for its majority). You're focusing on the negligible difference between it and a console that recently got its killer app, just becaus...
You realize MS announced a 100 dollar price cut with the new SKU a little over a week into May? I doubt it would've made a PS4-beating difference or even close to one, but something tells me that had a factor in sales for the majority of May.
And you speak as if because the Wii U is an overrall failure in hardware sales, that no matter what number it makes its still selling bad. The past few weeks its been selling pretty good, hell one week it almost outsold PS4. The Xbo...
God man, nothing gets you giddier than some of that Xbox One doom huh? That's literally almost all you've talked about since you joined. You'll even go off topic to spout some doom sometimes.
Of course one could say that while the post-kinect drop sales are disappointing, its a refreshing thing to see all 3 consoles selling well after so much time with just PS4 selling well. But no, let's point out comparatively bad Xbone sales over anything else, point out th...
Just thought i'd throw this in but Capcom re-released RE 0 and REmake on the Wii, and since the wii u plays wii games you can technically play those two. You can stream wii games to the pad so i'll have it sitting next to me while i do work then when a break comes along i'll play some REmake haha. You can get those two re-releases online for nothing if youre interested.
Also worth considering that these will work with multiple games. None of us have seen these things hands-on so we shouldnt judge the quality of the paint, but the ones at e3 look pretty good in the display cases. Foxtrot i think you're being a little overly cynical to presume that they plan to rip people off and that anyone who buys one is a "sucker".
Edit: although im actually not sure if Skylanders or Disney Infinity work across multiple games, too.
The colorful art style is what will sell this, especially on a nintendo platform. I think this will be a highly successful new IP, anything with nintendo's name sells.
At the very least they should include voice chat for people on your friends list, this is a very competitive game from the looks.
I just hope there's a party system where you can actually play with your friends unlike MK8 which either ONLY lets you play with friends or you both have to join a community.
They did, but i think the point is an 8th gen comparison.
I personally hate Skyward Sword to the core, but my friend thinks its his favorite. He loves the motion controls, thinks they propel it to a level of immersion above the other games, the art style and the dungeons while admitting the game is too linear.
I dislike almost everything about the game (even the stuff he likes), but his insight into why he loved the game let me see how an objective reviewer would give points for new things included aside from the lack of old things....
@Eonjay
They'd be stupid to not have it on shelves by the holidays.
@rdgneoz
Fair point but the original Kinect cost that (150) when it came out too. I just think the whole twitch thing gives more incentive for core gamers to own one on top of casuals. I just don't think it'll flop, is what im saying. I think having two separate SKU's is the best move they can make.
I think it'll sell modestly. Didn't the PS camera sell well with the PS4? And the kinect is a lot more recognized product with more support (at this point, anyway).
I honestly don't care either way though, i have no interest in showing myself in twitch streams or doing voice commands, etc. and i've yet to see a compelling use of kinect.
Spoilers:
It isnt a matter of being "sophisticated" enough to understand it, in fact you have to be pretty unsophisticated to think it is a well done ending. It is literally filled with plotholes, inconsistencies, and possibly the worst interpretation of the multiverse theory in a AAA game. I won't bore you with why it is a total failure of an ending that even has the gall to trample on the otherwise consistent lore and saga of Bioshock, people like Matthewmatos...
Wow those Bravely Default sales are awesome.
But would Capcom sell off individual IP's? Thatd be weird.
If they had to buy some, they should buy Monster Hunter and Megaman. Their platforms have the biggest crowd for both of those. I would also say Street Fighter but those games havent been relevant to Nintendo in a long time.
Good blog, but i would cut down on the CAPS NEXT TIME!
The support from Japanese developers (Capcom, Sega, Square, Tecmo) has been pretty good, at least in terms of quality (not so much quantity). I can't see 3rd parties coming back anytime soon though. I would honestly rather them fund exclusives and buy studios.
Side note guys, but do you think they should buy Capcom? It would increase their employees by like 50% and cost a shit ton of money, but...
In terms of the reveal specifically i was a little disappointed. I liked when he snapped and it showed the amazing scene of the field, but we never got a real trailer, just a little teaser. I think if they did what they did with twilight princess and had a full on trailer it would've had twice the effect.
Lol me and my friends are calling this "The Legend of Zelda: Look at the Grass" because that's what everyone says the first time they see it xD
They arent anti-pc, they released MGR on pc this year.
They're usually being payed to make games by Konami or MS or Sega or whomever. Usually those publishers maintain publishing rights and theyre the ones that need to finance a PC port.
It isn't that they don't matter, most people saying that are using hyperbole, its that graphic fidelity shouldn't take priority over good gameplay.
That game really was bad.
Hey let's take out everything that makes the mario RPG's interesting, and replace it with MILLIONS of toads, an annoying sidekick with no personality, a broken sticker system, and while we're at it lets take out Bowser's dialogue. Because you know, its not like anyone thinks he's one of the funniest, best written characters in every game he's in.
To be fair, i dont think it is 100% Intelligent systems' fau...
