There's quite a bit of exclusive releases from this year to scheduled release of 2015. Knowing the consistent (albeit slow) stream of quality they've produced for the system, most are really must-own games for anyone with a wide variety of taste, or for any diehard nintendo fan.
Bayonetta 2, Splatoon, Star Fox, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros, Xenoblade X, Mario Maker, Kirby's Rainbow Curse, Captain Toad, Yoshi's Wooly World, The Legend of Zelda, Fatal Frame, Soni...
Man i swear, the over-defensive nintendo fans call me a hater while the hyper critical ones call me an apologist -_- i've been on this site for a year now, you should know i clearly show no obligation to defend negative Wii U news.
Until yellowflash brought the release dates into question, i didnt really think about them. I just liked that the writer brought up the factor of holiday sales where a 100%, unadulterated, COMPLETELY negative article would not. So please, don...
That is actually a fair point.
Mario Kart 8 - 2 days
Double Dash - 13 days
Mario Kart 7 - 27 days
Mario Kart Wii - 3 days
Super Circuit - 4 days
But the second month sales are still valid the way i see it.
A negative article would leave out the fact that two of the games they're comparing it to came out around the holiday season, where both diehard fans and christmas shoppers are combined. It would leave out this info to make a situation seem more dire than it is.
This article states underwhelming news as the fact that it is, and considers the different variables that produce such news. There's no cherry-picking for negativity or sugar-coating for positivity, they appr...
Like the article mentions several of the other games came out in the holidays when nintendo games always get a huge boost.
Overrall i think it'll outsell Super Circuit and Double Dash for sure. The series got more exposure from DS and Wii so even if the Wii U doesnt hit GameCube numbers i think that exposure will tip it over Double Dash's sales.
Overrall this was a good article. Very informative, not really any negative spin. The title obviously does...
The one thing i hate about the gamepad is the surface's tendency to collect fingerprints. Im too much of a clean freak and i wipe it off everytime i finish playing.
"Perfect for cleaning off the gamepad, or cleaning off yourself after a riveting session of Bayonetta 2"
@Yellowflash
Holy crap, i has no idea the vita was selling that bad in NA. That's abysmal...
Something that's popular can be the MOST disappointing. Like GTA V was.
That said i can't say whether or not the ps4 is disappointing seeing as i don't own one. I usually wait a year to buy a new console.
I think with Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2 and Fatal Frame they're all set to appeal to the hardcore audience in Japan (which is good because thus far its just been the casual one). The problem will be NA and EU, though if they promote MK8 and smash its sure to do well in the holidays.
Feminists tore brawl apart...? I cant see any article or shred of evidence that this was the case.
I think he chose her because she's female too, but i don't really see this as a bad thing since there is no female swordfighter in the game (or in the history of the series). I also seriously doubt he did so because of some purported feminist backlash on brawl either, because there's no way he thought ZSS' redesign was feminist-friendly.
Yeah C...
There's no pattern in terms of how fast the game gets a western release (ranging from 4 months to the same day). It could come out before that halloween, or in 2015 for all we know.
I honestly think this one has a better chance. The previous two games (4 and wiimake) were too buggy and too late, respectively. Nintendo knows they need to keep fans happy and make some new ones, this is an opportunity to do so. And worst case scenario, Nintendo doesn't see the potential...
While i dont see this as confirmation, if they're going to the trouble of a hollywood movie i don't see why they wouldnt take that opportunity to localize the game.
No, i mean the myth of "xbox always last place lulz." I was agreeing with you.
Like what the hell does it matter what "place" they get in anyway? They're all in it to make money anyway. Im sure MS wouldve preferred the meager gamecube profits to the millions lost on the original xbox even if it meant "last place".
I swear that's the biggest myth so often perpetuated on this site.
They have shown enough of the game for us to see the vast visual gap, but i do agree that im sick of devs hyping up the technical side of their games. I mean No Man's Sky is a very technically interesting game that warrants explanation and discussion, but talking up 1080p and 60 fps is getting old.
60 frames was very commonplace in the 6th gen (even on dreamcast), the way people talk about it these days like it's a new feature or something is annoying.
The 360 got a ton of support from MS in japan and still flopped. The Xbone has comparatively little support.
Monster Hunter, Tales of Vesparia, Last Remnant, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, countless visual novels and bullet hells.
It really sucks because im a big bullet hell fan and the genre was largely dead this gen until i realized theyre all coming out on 360 and staying in Japan. I will probably import a few.
It was never there in Japan. It peaked at 19k. It will help sell consoles to the kids this holiday though.
This is why i think Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2 are a good idea, those games appeal to an audience previously uncatered to (and thus, largely absent) on the system. That gives them more system selling potential than even MK8 (in Japan at least).
Whaaaaat?
Miyamoto working on a rated M horror game?
Maybe he helped them come up with cool uses of the gamepad as that seems to be his objective lately.
Me too! This really is the only horror series that hasnt sold out with actions and a lack of scares. To be honest 1-3 were an upward incline of greatness in design and horror. 4 was a bit of a disappoint but still the scariest horror game last gen.
These games have an absurd amount of detail in the environments and ghosts, im pissing myself imagining what they could do in HD.
Edit: Who's this one guy bitterly dropping stealth disagrees on everyones hype,...
Why are people surprised? This is primarily long time PC gamers being shown comparatively poor deals on a console they probably don't care about. I wouldn't be surprised if they booed playstation either.
