Uh... I don't think he's talking about sales.
Lol, it's like the first world problems of gaming.
Maybe a retext of "Codsworth" as "Alfred", but I dunno.
NES, SNES, 64, and GC WERE good, but NES and Super Nintendo were stellar. the late nineties showed that Nintendo was losing mindshare, and now, looking at their reflection in the rearview mirror, all you see is a shadow in the shape of your childhood.
I still support all of Nintendo's products, assured in their eventual revitalization, but I've been a little disappointed for the last 20 years.
Ambient occlusion is wonderful, but consoles probably wouldn't run hbao+ for Fallout 4 with any respectable framerates. I'm still hoping for some kinds of graphical mods on console, but I'm skeptical as to what Bethesda will let modders do through their service.
I am personally PRAYING for a Batman skin for my next run through. Only roam at night, unarmed, melee, and noire style guns (original Batman used a pistol). Batman always chooses justice, vengeance, and in...

I could live with only one brand of peanut butter: JIF. So good, you'd never need any others.
You've got a point DLConspiracy. We all know PlayStation has earned an almost unprecedented level of approval, acclaim, and adoption. There's no need to continue casting stones, whether or not fanboys of either side continue to do so. I think it would be honorable to begin ignoring those who fight in the trenches.
But that ain't happening, let's b...
@007
Sounds like the only VR you've seen is on mobile. You would struggle to see the effect on any of the big three.
@donthate
PlayStation is a subsidiary, so it's budget is tied to it's financial success, not Sony's. Plus tax benefits for not being a division but a separate entity.
PlayStation can absorb a loss as evidenced by PS3.
2 has pacing issues, but it's the best. Crazy amount of alternate characters you can't get if you friend different people, make certain choices, or choose between Rena and Claude as MC. Crafting was WAY ahead of its time. Arena mode.
An underappreciated gem if you ask me.
Don't remember final bosses?
@Zep
Final Fantasy Type-0 might be your jam if that's your criteria. It's not one of the greats, but that's all we get for old-school RPGs
@DoctorDoom
Final Fantasy VII, like it's peers of the era, were quite expansive for the time but limited by tech.
I'll explain: FFVII's overworld is their world as a globe, fully navigable, but the party and vehicles are necessarily city-sized. So the overworld is not that big effectively. When in dungeons or towns, you exist in a series of prerendered (but beautiful) background art with invisible walls where the art depicts a wall. NPC's fl...

Kiwi, $900nzd is the same as $600usd.
That's still real damn expensive though.
That's some cast!
Nice collage. There's eleven games I HAVE to play snuggled in there.
I don't think Dark Souls III is an exclusive though.
Well if you think like that, how do you get excited for ANY game? They could all bomb.
No, nearly every listed game in this comment section so far (across all platforms) is from a pedigree team. We can be as sure as possible that we'll have good lineups across the board. Mediocrity will not be the norm. Any game not up to form will make headlines.
They'll just say that Japanese games don't matter.
Except for ReCore and Scalebound and Dark Souls III and Kingdom Hearts. When called out they'll say those games are good because they're Western oriented, but realistically it's cause those are on a system they own.
Thanks Obama!
