CRank: 5Score: 23720

In the end, after brutally slaying Seth and Amon Ra, JHVH, Jesus Christ, Odin, Thor, and Tyr, Izanagi, Quetzacoatl, Shiva and Kali, the Tooth Fairy, and finally the demons of Buddhism, Kratos will become Bodhisatva, the next incarnation of Buddha, and he will have inner peace and a transcendent, peaceful death.

Now it makes sense, him being bald all these years.

Is it a porting team or is it Remedy? I can't imagine Remedy would release a shoddy PC port after all this drama, they would have just waited until they finished if that were the case.

Looking forward to this game.

As I first made my way through Oxenford early on in The Witcher 3, methodically pillaging the town inside and out, I entered a nobleman's foyer. After rummaging through half the room, I arrived at a tall bureau that the servant had apparently gotten clipped into, his head being the only thing visible popping out of the top. Permanently stuck there he had seemingly given up all hope of a better life.

"I'm sick, sick of it all!"

The first 100 ...

And then after a while it starts getting too easy. SotN all over again...

OT: other than some simple bugs in The Last Of Us, I can't remember any poor launches from Naughty Dog. Any delays they make will probably help keep it that way.

What a terrible article. Only NMS is possibly overhyped here. Maybe.

FFXII may not be entirely turn-based, but it's not an ARPG either, as waiting for your attack bar to fill up doesn't translate to active combat. It's also based on FFT, which is why it was so different. Don't like it? Ok, but don't blame the series itself, as it was the Team Ivalice that makes all of the Tactics games that made XII. AFTER fans said they would support a AAA game by them.

Personally, I grew into it over countless hours. The story was great ...

No, he's right, it's a mental disorder. Essentially genetic, it can't be cured, only channeled.

Which leads me to how the author has slandered this woman by taking her out of context. She is defending artistic representations of child pornography, still strange, I admit, though usually legal across the globe. This genre of pornography is essentially only attractive to certain people. Moreover, studies say that it decreases actual illegal activity, much like carto...

@cleft

Actually, she was speaking out about how recent laws have banned 'lolicon' in Japan. Lolicon is essentially illustrated child pornography. Comics and cartoons.

The laws are becoming more and more strict, forcing anime and the like to 'assure' viewers that the high schoolers and children even DISCUSSED in a sexual way must be of age despite their appearance. This has been enforced with mass arrests at manga conventions.

You misread. Japan does NOT have child pornography even though it has low age of consent. With Japan, it's also a given that more than 50% of EVERYBODY (really, the statistics are that depressing) are sexually inactive, so generally that consent is for the young to be proactive about the growing concern that Japan is losing population density fast.

@dubaman

You ever tried aiming in Goldeneye with the 64 controller? Lol

Both Goldeneye and MoH are still great, regardless, and PlayStation had 3 kinds of controllers. No one should have been forced into using the original controller as it was obsolete for such games.

Kind of like how many people replaced their original Duke controllers when they were upgraded on the Xbox, although the reasons were a little different.

Great. Now I can't help but think that the Salem witch trials was actually an elaborate alien extermination procedure.

While I admittedly don't believe we've ever been "visited," or even that aliens with such intelligence exist, you could still explain a crash as seen in 'The Thing' or hinted at in 'Who Goes There?'

The extraterrestrial with the flying object may have known about Earth and not visited until after being attacked and copied by a parasitic organism bent on reproducing through our particularly populous planet, but is una...

Most of the Falcom games that even made it West at all, let alone ported to consoles, were drastically altered in one way or another, and the Y's games ARE great. Also, I never said Square invented the genre, nor Enix for that matter.

But Final Fantasy has through popularity alone DEFINED what JRPGs are to the West. YOU must not play many RPGs if you're really going to dismiss even the 5th gen FF's.

Games have changed since the early eighties, ge...

There are games that play crappy on every platform, even the 360. Eurogamer on Mass Effect :

"By comparison, we're looking at a far smoother frame-rate on PS3 in likewise situations, usually holding at 30FPS where the 360 may fluctuate between numbers. It also happens to run without tearing a single frame, be it in cut-scenes or when running through a Citadel area packed with characters. Alas, there are still familiar weak points; drops to 15FPS are commonplace durin...

That's your opinion, and you're welcome to have it, but it's likely to prove unpopular.

Going by the way in which you said it, I'm going to have to assume you've never played the series, and I urge you to at least try SO2 or 3 by any means necessary and decide whether or not you still are unenthused.

The series is known for engaging stories with sudden dramatic upheavals, parties that actually seem to acknowledge each other in a more reali...

What? There's nothing stating that PlayStation won't have BC on their next platform. If you were not aware, the PS2 was the first to use the feature since the Atari XEGS. PS3 also had the feature in multiple forms, Classics and disc-based, especially the fat console.

Are there even enough hours in the year for all these?! Good thing Persona drills in the wonders of time management. In this case? Cram like final exams.

Star Ocean and especially Final Fantasy are two franchises that almost perfectly describe what a JRPG is, and have been doing so since almost the beginning. Despite the Japanese slump last gen, they both seem at top form once again, even if they had to evolve in order to do so.

You're fooling yourself if you can't see what Nintendo's first party is doing with DLC (e.g. Mario Kart, Smash Bros). I love Nintendo, always will, but I can practically guarantee that the NX first-party will be riddled with DLC, and you're gonna have to come to terms with where that leaves you as a gamer. Deal with the "incomplete" but always expensive titles, or succumb to the Dark Side and spend even more money.
