Persona 3 FES, Kessen series, Soulcalibur II and III, Onimusha series, RE Outbreak, Silent Hill 2-4, Star Wars Battlefront 1+2 all need HD ports.

I'm torn whether or not I would buy Silent Hill again. Konami would ruin my fun every time I see that logo.

You're friends with Death?! I wouldn't want to cause problems with him either.

Whoops. Bad mental math on my part. $82 dollars only strengthens the point though.

$1.00 US = $1.38 Canadian
$60.00 US = $72.80 Canadian

Not that big a deal, man, chill.

NeXbox or go home.

Maybe Xbox Five. Cause... Cause... they skipped Windows 9...? I dunno. They'll pick the best name out of their hat.

I don't see discs going anywhere based on limited storage. We're nowhere near the limits of blu-ray this gen, and Sony and Panasonic are working on the Archival Disc, with exponentially greater storage (in it's industrial size at least) than our current server farms hold. A single commercial sized disc will hold more than a Terabyte.

If anything, we should worry about Hard Drive types and prices, as we'll need some big ones in a gen or two.

The second half of the game will have your palms sweating and unable to put the controller down for fear of dying. People used to say classic Resident Evil controls we're terrible, but it's obvious in retrospect that it creates a more realistic tension and fear. Same goes for these controls if not more so than ever.

Just because you can't point a gun at the environment around you or use traditional camera controls doesn't mean it's lacking any of the inten...

@breakpad
I like Japanese games and entertainment as much as anyone, but by no means are they geared towards a more intelligent demographic. Patient, perhaps, as the endless exposition tires out the kind of gamer who doesn't care about story in games, but rather gameplay only. Likewise, blatant exposition that could otherwise be told through some other narrative would be frowned upon by those looking for a true cerebral fix (i.e. puzzles, mysteries, etc.).

I made an epic Kojima-Braveheart 'freedom!' meme just for this post, and my phone won't register it as a photo :(

I had no doubts this would happen (Kojima, not my phone). Even though he threatens retirement frequently, creative minds need an outlet.

All the signs still point to P.T. follow-up, and if so I'll be first in line. Thank you Kojima for escaping tyranny and saving your studio. Truly inspiring to everyone with a crappy boss.

/v/ is >>>>>>> that way.
Go complain nonstop there, like they do. We heard your piece many times now.

I've defended Bethesda many times, but if this was an intentional method to raise the framerate it was plain lazy. Bad form.

Great for the Witcher, but cyberpunk won't be out til 2077 at this rate. (thats a joke guys)
Kalebninja, what in the world makes you think they're that far or quick at development? This is how blind hype starts. These games take time and love in the oven, and they haven't started baking yet.

I don't know why but the title made me laugh. Very unexpected.

This is perfectly reasonable for Microsoft, as they'll make much more money without a middleman in the mix. Wii U deserves some love too.

Yoshida on Crash: "Probably not."

I don't hear a "no" in there anywhere. Please.

That does make sense silkrevolver. End with the party ready to leave Midgar. "Insert disc 2"

I hope Midgar has fun things to keep me preoccupied. I would kill for a Triple Triad-esque card game with a bigger deck. Or else Wall Market should have something fun.

The original itself is only (heh, *only) 40 hours long for the story. Setting yourself up for disappointment I think.

FFVII was famous for a great many reasons, but the story and the journey were the key selling points, along with the character design, soundtrack, combat, and materia system.

Most of that seems intact and in good form.

@September

Guess you've never heard of Zone of Ender or Snatcher, because those are just as good as Metal Gear.

Do you really think Konami, after everything we've seen them do in the last 5-10 years is a good guy in all this? They have one remaining team out of over half a dozen because they're a good employer, that right?

They are a gambling company with alleged ties to the yakuza. Konami is run by a powerful, proud, clan whose b...

FACT: Konami doesn't give a steaming crap about games or their legacy in the eyes of the industry.

FACT: Kojima has poured his soul into countless Konami games over 30 years, nearly all are remembered fondly.

That's all we got. If Konami didn't have lawyers out the ass, we would know what happened.
