I like that they are adding new PS2 classics that they didn't have before and at higher quality, but the only classic I already own on PS3 I'd be willing to buy again is Persona 3 FES (especially because I got it on sale in PS Store for $2.50 and felt guilty every since).
RPGs in general get more out of trophies, so I'm happy I never bought Rogue Galaxy or Dark Cloud before.

I don't think it's inclination towards action has any bearing on any deals, especially those targeting Asia. More likely because it's going to be a heavy hitter in Asia, and Square and Microsoft both want worthwhile sales.

Those might not be the best comparisons, considering both FFVII and FFX had production begin on older consoles and XIII and XV went through development hell. With VII in particular, the game was relatively rushed in areas. Sounds effects were largely ported from FFVI and the graphics weren't great even for it's time. Just a year later and Parasite Eve showed what Squaresoft could do on the hardware.

Outside of Emerald Weapon, none of these trophies are particularly difficult, just time consuming.
The only hard decision is sacrificing your date with Aerith to go with Barrett. They do it in a choice that builds up over time, so you can't just save and reload to cheat the system.
Tfw you should already have the platinum trophy 3 times over.
The best thing about this remaster isn't the upgrade in resolution or the inclusion of trophies, but the translation fixes.
