Although the claim is copyright infringement, it has the "appearance" of Rockstar trying to censor something they don't want people to see because it is not official. Rockstar is generally against censorship.

Consumers are busy trying to claim and protect rights while producers are able to define and redefine the rights that consumers claim to protect their business models.

When I played Saints Row 3, I went to the surgeon and changed my gender mid game. I was transgender and no one noticed.... But seriously it would have been funny if someone commented, or a boss taunted me because of it to send my character into aggro, but the game is super gender neutral anyway.

Not ever gamer is just waiting around. I played it day on on PS3, then pushed it aside for other games. I'm ready for the PC version now.

The thing about it though is that health regen could be removed, and saving frequency could be reduced to scarce in most modern games if developers chose to add it to the highest difficulty level and everyone could be accommodated. For some reasons they don't.

COD: World at War's campaign almost drove my crazy on veteran when there were almost always 1 or 2 hit kills so health didn't have time to regen and the enemies would spam grenades in almost every direction...

There is some part of me that wants to image video game bosses setting up their personal spaces to allow for player style choice. What goes through their heads?

"Okay let me open all the vents and patrol in an irresponsible fashion without watching my back so the stealth guys can flank me."

"Now I'll turn up some furniture for them to take cover near the area they'll enter from and I'll generously scatter guns, ammo and health kits ...

That tends to happen at the midway to end of a console life cycle

I think he's asking which one has the personality and isn't generically emo? I think it's the blond guy.

That's a good point but X-2 took plenty of heat for looking like a girly game. I did find it to be enjoyable and even liked the faster paced combat system than in FFX.

The question I would have is what kind of characters are these. Lightning was more Alpha in FFXIII-3 than any of the male leads in recent FF history. Can we have a male lead who is not just a random kid, or depressed and emotionally/mentally damaged. Now that I think about it, those kind of guys are usuall...

The guns were always sitting on the desk from the beginning. The recoil on the gun is over dramatic and wouldn't happen though.

How about an invasion and occupation by a foreign country "Homefront" style. In the game Homefront itself, there wasn't any time to become familiar with the locality and the people to feel any connection to them before seeing it all destroyed. But in the aftermath of GTA V, we can have Michael, Franklin & Trevor with the help of Trevor Phillip's Industries fight for freedom and liberation from a joint North Korean / Merryweather occupation... or something like that.

Isn't the point of a SJW to intervene where social injustice is an issue backed by an agenda to subjugate a social class without the power to bring justice for themselves? I just don't see it here.

I wouldn't call Aiden morally ambiguous. He's like most other sociopathic protagonists. He doesn't really acknowledge the bad things he does as being all that bad. He lives off of stealing from other people's bank accounts just because they leave themselves vulnerable. Many of his actions are criminal, even if he is out for revenge and to protect his family, it is without regard for anyone else. As a lawbreaker, the game does give you the choice to at least be helpful to some ...

I don't know if I'd call this PC gaming on the rise. It's good, (makes me feel like I wasted money buying an XboxOne when the games I wanted to play are and will be on PC also) but how about more PC games in the WRPG/ JRPG/ and Third Person Shooter genres that are must have and can't be run on any other platform. I'd call that a pretty good step forward.

The story could have been much better. And honestly a game like this needs the let you feel like you live in the world like an RPG to have the desired affect of real devastation when your normal routine is broken up by foreign invasion. The first one just throws you in a situation and says hey you should feel strongly about this neighborhood, people, and community you've never seen because foreigners are invading.

The effect I'm talking about would come playing a game...

Yeah, I remember the "No Mercy" glory days but they are long gone. Even the most recent title 2K14 lets you tweak the settings for finishers, damage, stamina..etc, until it feels as much like as simulator as you want it to be. And the creation modes have long blown away the n64 days.

The only ones who get milked are those who open themselves up to it. Otherwise, contribute at a level that's acceptable for what you get and it amounts to nothing more than a preorder, oftentimes at a lower price than when it hits retail (a reward for believing in a concept before others).

I wouldn't call it "taking advantage" as long as the consumer participation is voluntary. I tend to chip in to kickstarters for visual artists product's and band albums. I haven't been let down yet.
