Thx for the link. I think it was more about wether there is demand for PC games in Japan. Of course it's low over there. But I live in middle Europe where PC gaming is huge.
Anyway I'm just wondering how much resources it would take to bring XB1 games to PC. Now that they both are based on x86 technology and have CPU/GPUs from the same manufacturers (similar drivers?)
From my perspective it looks like it should be a matter of 1-2weeks to make the necessary adjustments...
You can even use your iphone earplugs with built in microphone or any other "3-lines" 3.5mm headphone plugged in to your gamepad to chat with your friends :)
How about the other way round? Do xb1 games just run as easily on pc?
PS4 isnt even out yet, that is why I basically don't care about it. I can see myself getting a PS4 in a few years but right now at launch there are many unknowns and very few games that interest ME. Plus I'm not ready to pay for online play and I hate the fact that the system is not backward compatible.
It's hard for me to grasp anyway how there can be so many PS4 fanboys already before the thing is even released! Big trust in sony i guess? The PS3 was kind of a f...
Can't wait to play this game :) WiiU is amazing, if you wanna go with PC or PC boxes (that's what I call the xb1/ps4^^) that's fine, I have a PC as well, but with WiiU at least you get something special.
I agree :) Wii U is simply the best platform for open world games.
The worst thing about this news is:
This game Ryse could look freakin amazing on PC (and it already ran on it!) but it won't be released for it. Instead they tune it down and make it push sales of a underpowered PC box that costs about as much as a PC.
As a PC gamer I'm kinda mad at MS.
From what i've heard Nintendo has never been so active and open with 3rd party devs like with wiiu. So i guess it's good for them.
Now I love the way Sony built their ps4 while communicating with the devs. That's the way it should be done. But the endeffect is that the new consoles are little PC boxes. And i already have a PC. And PC will be better in performance than both ps4 and xb1 while not having any downsides (except for exclusives, but that is not really a downside ...
To me it was obvious that Splinter Cell wouldnt do well even though the WiiU version has the best features.
There are too many other good games releasing on WiiU atm. Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 were the obvious choices to get at the time. And the Rayman and now Zelda... There are so many awesome games coming on WiiU. <3
Yeah the ps3 was a especially Dev friendly *rolleyes*
Still got all the love from Devs.
Chill out.. It's not even a next gen game, its a port. Lead platform was current gen. So give those new consoles 1-2 years.
Of course the PC will always be better. But that has always been like that and was never an issue so...
They should have stopped after saying graphics dont matter so much^^ And its true. Graphics do not matter too much on consoles!
But now they are contradicting themselves. First saying graphics dont matter anyway and now they come out with these arguments that their games look just as good as ps4 and cloud power and and and...
Its bad publicity. Not that the xb1 has a slighty less power. That's not the issue imho. Its what they say to the public and contradict themselves.
Seems like something I need to try out before I have an opinion about it. Interesting. Gaming is evolving :) And as usual it does so on the PC.
Yes of course. You know I love gaming i dont care on which system I do it (I have a Microsoft Windows PC, a Nintendo WiiU, a Sony PS2 and an android phone with a mobile gamepad).
But I personally hate spending money on different things that all do the same. If exclusives are the only thing that is differentiating gaming systems from each other its kinda lame...
For example WiiU at least has something special to offer^^
But PS4 and Xbox1 (and in some ways PC too) kinda...
Guys the article is purely about the graphics. And it's true the consoles have no chance against PC in the graphics department. We don't have to argue about that - as the guy said: Its simple math. PC has more power. End of story.
BUT (big but) since the xbox360 and ps3 consoles have become the main development platform for games. Therefor you have alot of very good games with big budgets on consoles even if the graphics are less impressive than on PC.
As long as people are buying there will be a new cod every year. They would be stupid not to do it with all the money theyre making :) doesnt mean you have to buy it though...
Free to play is broken by design. I can't believe this is becoming more and more a thing...
It means 2 tings:
1. If you really want to play free, the games usually require extreme amounts of boring grinds, or the difficulty is so high that you can't get anywhere (which results in grinding to get currency to buy etc).
2. If you decide to invest money, the game becomes the same thing as a monthly subscription based game like MMOs. Because you can't j...
Dark souls clone?
Every open world game should be on Wii U. It's the perfect system for it with the map/inventory on the gamepad. How can people prefer to enter a menu every 10sec that takes them completely out of the game? Having a map in your hand just makes sense. That's how it is in real life.
Wii U is so misunderstood...
I agree, its just more comfortable to have the analog sticks higher up. I personally think the WiiU gamepad has the best analog sticks I ever used, perfect resistance (less than xbox360 imho), perfect grip, perfect position. <3
The PS3 controller is awful. My thumbs bump into each other (i have large thumbs) and my hands start to cramp when i play too long...
