I dont care. Bring it to PC.
I have to stop myself thinking about how much better this game would be if it could use the power of the PC or at least ps4/xb1. Makes me angry!
WiiU third party support is fine... Batman, Assassins Creed, CoD Ghosts, Rayman, Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs, all the important titles are on WiiU.
The WiiU definately has its upsides over the other consoles and people who can't see that are just plain ignorant.
Ps4/xb1 surpassing sales quickly? Let's just wait and see instead of trying to predict the future. Of course the nerds here on n4g are hyped about the new consoles and of course they are going to buy the ps4/xb1,...
Wii U already has a very decent library. And great games coming out every month. But i don't feel like defending the system. If you don't want it don't get it.
But its a simple fact that by the time ps4/xb1 releases WiiU will have way more games than those two... Especially the ps4 line up seems very weak to me. But i guess here on n4g everyone is so hyped about either ps4 or xb1 no one seems to care about facts anymore.
So you get the ps4 day one and play through ...
It's x86 bring it to PC, it takes like what? One guy working for a week, to "port" it from xb1? Just do it.
That's all I ever gonna say about "next gen" games.
I wont care about PS4 or Xbox1 for at least 2 years until there is a solid game library. I've got a nice PC and a WiiU. I'm set.
Ports can't be as bad as with xbox360/ps3... I xb1 is basically a PC. Same architecture, directx11 and everything. Should be a walk in the park to "port" games to pc now, well at least theoretically.
So people are whining that XboxOne/PS4 doesn't support external drives and at the same time cry about wii U supporting them instead of internal drives?
What do you want? I personally prefer the Wii U way. If I only buy games on disc 32gb is enough for patches and virtual console games. If I want the eshop i just use an external drive that i already have or can get really cheap.
I completely agree. If I look at the wii u and try to look at it from a devs perspective, alot of ideas about how to use the gamepad in new and innovative ways come up. I don't think about graphics but about gameplay! That's where Nintendo systems always shine. So there will be less polygons and lower resolution textures - I don't care! With a console I just wanna have fun.
A Bethesda open world game would be absolutely amazing on the Wii U imho. With an interactive map an...
They can't use that argument and develop for xbox one or ps4 exclusives at the same time. They aren't even out and no one knows how well they will sell. Wii u at least has a small and growing install base.
The only consequent Dev in that regard is rockstar releasing gta v only for ps360.
Well at least they know what I want. I don't need another system that does the same thing as the ps3 or 360 with updated graphics. I want to try something new and useful.
Play an open world game on wii u with the map and inventory right there and tell me that it isn't a huge advantage.
I can see that. It's the same for me with ps4 and xb1. Everyone is super hyped. But when I see the games all I think is meh... Another shooter another racing game, nothing worth buying a system. I bought the wii u for the gameplay and it's unique gamepad knowing that more games will come later. But I'm in a foreign country right now no TV in my apartment but I can still play my games. That is amazing and only possible with wii u. Was already worth it.
@ storage. ...
Just use a hard drive. What's the problem? I rather have a smaller system under my TV. I got the 8gb model and a terabyte drive behind my TV. Easy.
As a pc gamer i read these threads for amusement :)
It used to be ati vs nvidia wars but now the console gamers definately surpassed us in terms of hardware war. As silly as that is....
How can you guys be excited about the 2-3 games coming to xb1 and ps4, and say wii u does not have enough games at the same time? Makes no sense.
I couldn't care less about the names of these systems... It's the new nintendo gaming console. End of story. People who have no idea about anything can go to the store and ask for the newest system to play Mario. Bam there you go.
Btw what I would focus on with the marketing is the backwards compatibility. Telling people they can still use all there old games and wii fit and bowling and stuff has to be worth something especially for the casuals. They can have one brand new sys...
I'm almost 100% certain it will be the same with ps4. The first year is basically always like this with a new system.
No one denies that the Wii U has weaker hardware than ps4 and xbox one. But hardware does not matter with consoles... when are people going to realize? Tell me one gaming console that sold better than the others because of hardware? Modern engines are scalable to a point where you can run them on mobile devices {Unreal engine for iOS&Android etc}, so if the devs want they can make anything work on the wii u.
Consoles are great because of the exclusive games and innovative controls...
Yeah dude :-) enjoy the ride. It's a great time!
I started with age of camelot (German game) and was there on launch day when wow came out, built one of the top 100 raiding guilds in Europe together with my friends but then suddenly it wasn't that much fun anymore and took away way too much time from my social life. You get the picture ;-)
Yes that game looks nice and interesting. But I'm not getting into MMOs anymore. I don't have the time... :) And just casualing around is not my thing in those games...
I'm not a dev or anything but when you do an open world game that means that you have massive amounts of data that you want to have active because there is so much stuff going on and everything has to be seemless. The ps3/360 are extremely limited especially in the RAM department... They must have used hundreds of tricks to make such a massive world and I'm sure if they had access to 8gb instead of 512mb the game would be much different.
So I was more talking about th...
