You are aware that that little weak system (you mean the wii i guess) sold more than ps3 and 360? It was a huge success financially. And thus Nintendo has more money than MS or Sony.
The strength of Nintendo consoles is not graphics. It's the games. They are FUN have amazing gameplay and Nintendo is always innovating and offering something new with each console they release.
I agree with you. There is always something you could do better when marketing a product.
What you're saying is the ONLY selling point for a console imho. You will always get better hardware with PC. You get the console for the GAMES. And nothing else. That's why the Wii was doing extremly well. That's why the PS3 is doing extremly well right now. And WiiU will do well when the games are good. And so far, they are.

About all the pirate talk... Yeah pirating media sucks but it's an issue with all systems and it's not always a bad thing.
The Wii was the most pirated system ever and still it was a HUGE success selling more consoles than any other in its time.

I'm getting really confused. Scores are all over the place for this game... This one is almost 90 while others are really bad like 2/5 etc.

It's just kinda weird that the reviews are contradicting each other. I admit I want to like this game because it looks extremely fun in all the footage I've seen.
Also basically all the previews I've read were extremely good and now reviews are bad. That makes the reviews less believable for me.
And if the game is difficult, that is a good thing.
Two things :)
1. I never said in any way that the CPU/GPU of the PS4 is weak. I said they are the LIMITING FACTOR. A system has to be well rounded, meaning the individual parts have to work together.
If you take a Intel Atom lowcost laptop CPU and combine it with a nVidia Titan (overpriced but very powerful), you won't get good performance in games because the CPU can't keep up with the graphics card. The CPU slows the GPU.

Do you guys even know what RAM does in a system? If you have access to a PC do a little experiment. Run a benchmark with 8GB then run the same with 4GB. You will not notice any difference in FPS.

Link has always been the silent hero. But everyone else could have voice acting imho. From what I've heard so far the next Zelda will be very different from what we're used to anyway. So this is the perfect opportunity :)
But they should be very careful about it. You can kill certain characters if you display them in a completely different way than fans imagine them (Metroid Other M anyone? ....)
Yeah I'm definately gonna give it another try sometime next year. Maybe now that I'm not so eager to find out how the story continues I can focus more into the gameplay :) I wanted to do that anyway, but too many great games coming up now for my WiiU!

How stupid can you get? I actually support pirating games from this company. EA needs to die.
Comes down to personal preference i guess. I started out on the hardest difficulty that was available when you first start the game (not sure what it's called).
And I switched down to easy about half way through the game. This is the FIRST time to do that in any game, as far as i can remember :) I usually enjoy challenges, demon souls/dark souls are some of my favorite games ever.
But the gameplay just didn't do it for me. It didn't motivate me - it annoyed me. And...
Maybe it's for Ultra resolutions such as 4k. But for 1080p no way you need that amount of ram.
It's a good game, but not one of my all time favorites. What stood out for me was the story and the overall atmosphere/art design/graphics. But the gameplay was nothing special for me, just not really fun... This is one of the games I would prefer to play on the easiest difficulty, because i want the "combat" scenes to be over as fast and smooth as possible, to get back to the exploring and story.

You know I always go for the cards with the best price/power ratio. So I've had several nVidia and several AMD cards.
But my last two cards where AMD. I feel like nvidia is concentrating more on the mobile market with it's Tegra chip atm. Why would you need 12gb DDR5?
Tastes are different :) And that is a good thing. I for example totally dislike Gears of War, and basically all the other 3rd person cover shooters out there, Uncharted and all that stuff. In Mass Effect I could only enjoy the game as a Melee/Caster... But there seems to be a whole lot of people who love that gameplay.
On the other hand I really do enjoy AC. But the strongest part of the game is definately the story for me. My favorite one is Revelations (least favorite in the series ...
The last one I played was FFX. I rented and tried FFXII for an evening, but there was nothing interesting to my in that game. Gameplay, characters, story... Just wasnt my thing.
And FF VIII, well i don't have a PS3 :) Maybe I get a used one after the PS4 release. But from what i've seen i'd rather play one of the older titles again. IV, VI, VII, VIII are probably my favorites :)
Btw just completed a FF VII playthrough on my smartphone via emulator and blue...
I wasnt talking about the wii u, i was talking about the DS, the Wii and the 3DS.
And I wasn't trying to bash Sony I was making a point that its ridiculous to think Nintendo would go 3rd party anytime soon. Apart from the slow WiiU/3DS start they have nothing but success. And slow launches that's pretty much normal. The crazy Wii launch is the exception.

You guys are forgetting something. We on N4G are the NERDS. We care about this stuff, we know the release dates, we know every little detail about the new consoles and we preorder and can't wait.
We are the MINORITY.
The MAJORITY of people already own one or two consoles. The market is saturated. I think this is affecting the wii u greatly. People not only dont know that the WiiU is a brand new system, they don't care because they already have a gamin...
