It absolutely sucks for those 2 people^^
:D
Come on everyone is allowed to have a Troll-Moment once in a while <3
Have fun with your new consoles guys!
Nobody cares....
Wii u is dead.
Trollolololol. And I'm soo glad I own one :-)
Not surprising if you look at the XB1 hardware. The XB1 is basically a standard LOWCOST PC, the only difference being the eDRAM. (Same goes for PS4 btw, but it has a better GPU and better RAM. And since the GPU is basically the most important part of modern gaming systems, the PS4 is doing better)
It's still an awesome improvement over the 360. But not what I expected.
Because of this, i wont be getting any of these systems. A similar PC that runs everything in 10...
Do you also believe in the tooth fairy? I really hope your comment was trolling :D
I don't understand how people that care so much about resolution are still playing on consoles...
I mean I'm a PC gamer and not even I care that much about resolution. I'd rather have 720p with at least 4x AntiAliasing (=almost no jaggies) @60fps, than laggy 1080p to be honest. Depending on the type of game of course, but shooters NEED to be 60fps.
Remakes are cool and everything, but there needs to be a new Starfox and Metroid (Prime style, with good multiplayer. That would sell like crazy...) game for WiiU.
I think it's bad to release the remakes now. Remakes won't move alot of hardware imho. They should focus on new games now to grow the install base and release the remakes later. If you have the console and you see there is a Starfox64 remake you will pick it up. But will you get a console for it? Probably n...
Yeah... what does that even mean? I know my PC stuff but I have no idea what's going on here.
The key is "draw calls" I don't know what that is, but from reading the article I think it has something to do with multithreading. So I GUESS that mantle greatly improves the usage of multiple cores? To a point where it's almost as good as xb1/ps4 (70-80%).
That's what I got from that article...
But still, Mantle is an API for GPUs ...
You are right. LCDs always have a NATIVE resolution. They are built for content in a certain resolution and it's usually the highest the monitor/TV can achieve.
So if you have a FULL HD 1080p display, that means of course there are 1920*1080 pixels. If you feed it with 720p content a chip inside the TV becomes active and "scales" the 720p to 1080p. Which means the information of one pixel is now displayed by multiple pixels. There are better and worse "upsc...
Plz use your brain... The XB1 does not even run every game at 1080p, how in the world could it run 4k??
Don't buy a 4k TV for the Xbox1 unless you enjoy upscaled graphics. The xb1 will never output games in 4k. Makes absolutely no sense to have a 4k TV atm. Unless maybe you have a 3000$ PC with Titan SLI or something.
And so what just go ahead and buy some more RAM. Costs like nothing and almost all mainboards have enough slots for more RAM :)
Just make sure you buy the same type that you already have or it won't be compatible.
Simple.
Crysis 2 was optimized for very low memory 32bit systems (360 and ps3).
Next gen games will be optimized for high memory 64bit systems (xb1 and ps4).
Ergo the PC versions of those games also need high amounts of memory and of course 64bit (because 32bit only supports 4gb). It's not that a game like CoD does really need that much memory. But if you have it, why not use it. Its not difficult to use high amounts of RAM. But its very hard to mash thes...
I think most of the games that are released in 2014 and on will require DirectX 11. Everything that is next gen multiplat (not crossgen) will be built on directx11.
It's a good moment to upgrade your video card and you can get a very decent one for 150-200$. So not too bad.
@Cleft5: So that negligible difference in performance is the deciding factor for you? Not the controller? Not the games? Not the price???
WTF.
Yeah and if they did a touchscreen everyone would have praised and loved Sony for their innovative blah blah. ;-)
I own the wii u since one year and the touchscreen is simply great. Browsing the web, typing, maps & inventory, off TV. It's amazing actually.
Just change the way you sit in front of the TV. I love the 2nd screen, I think map screens and inventory screens that pause the game every 10 secs are much worse. Personal opinion.
OMG that comment/reply system is sooo messed up.
Sorry, my comment was in reply to "Wizziokid" not you :)
You've actually supported my point...
I have a MOGA pro controller (xbox360 layout, google it) and a Samsung Galaxy S3 with the official extended battery (3000mAh).
Gives me about 6 hours of gaming with real controls.
There are enough titles that support hardware controllers like all the Rockstar games (GTA, MaxPayne) and most of the newer Gameloft games. But I miss a big budget title.
The best games on smartphones are N64, PSX and SNES games ;)
IMHO:
The funny ...
