It's horrible I've seen alot of games getting bad reviews because they are "too difficult". Damn sissys. I appreciate the challenge!
The only thing I hate about Forza is that it's only on Xbox. There are superb racing wheels on the PC and it's just a shame that most people play these sim type racers with that damn gamepad. But I won't buy a console and racing wheel just for this game... So, bring it on MS! Give us PC Forza.

At this point it's all about marketing. If Nintendo does it right, they can get huge sales. But they need to go full out and start to show people what their console can do.

I'm gonna buy deus ex on WiiU. I tried it when it first came out on PC but didn't like it for some reason. But i'll give it another shot on WiiU.
@thekhurg: I know man :) I have a console myself, that's not what I was talking about. My comment was in response to a guy that said the PS4 is the better system because it has better hardware. Obviously that is not the case, you agree with me that the PC is not perfect even though it has way stronger hardware than anything else.
Btw: You obviously haven't played on a PC in a long time ;) Consoles get upgrades/patches for OS and games all the time. GPU Driver updates ...

Imho, it's all about the marketing. And Nintendo is failing hard at it. All they ever target are the families and the casuals. They have a console that plays CoD and Mario. How you can fail at selling it is beyond me. I mean i have one and its fucking great. Love it. But they need to start telling people. Telling the gamers. Not moms at pottery barn, the need to advertise to gamers.

But to be honest that stuff is too advanced for me :/ I'm not an engineer or anything I don't even know how to solder, but with a PC I can still build "my own machine" and overclock it. And I like that feeling to have a unique system ;)

But it's not an official statement or anything... AMD is known for that kinda stuff though. And you still get the "most powerful console" on the market either way.
AMD (manufacturer of the PS4 CPU/GPU) is actually known for this from previous products.
So here it goes: Microchips are very delicate to produce. They have a pretty high failure rate. So when they realize that let's say 30% of their produced Microchips have minor faults in some areas (but otherwise work fine), they decide to shut those faulty areas down and sell them as a lower power and lower cost product.

Why are people comparing home consoles and mobile gaming devices.. They are different markets. The gameboy didn't kill the snes it opened a whole new market.
If anything smartphones and tablets are competitors for vita and 3ds. But I think it's more like this: I never wanted a mobile gaming device. But now that I have a smartphone anyway I play some fruit ninja from time to time. But I never was in the market for a 3ds and nothing has changed. Plus, when I look at sales number...
I hear ya :) I have a WiiU next to my PC for those moments and for couch multiplayer with friends.
BUT I have my PC hoocked to the TV and I play with a 360 controller (DS4 works too if you prefer!) on my couch most of the time ;) Yes it takes more time to install a game in most cases, but after that there isn't really a difference to a console... AND you never have to get up to change the disc :P

Come on... Microchips get hot when they are in use. That's nothing new. As long as there are no stability issues heat is not a problem. Also these chips are very different. I had an Intel Celeron once and I ran that baby with 90° C completely stable :)
I saying this over and over again but if you want to be IN CONTROL of your gaming system you get a PC. When it's too hot/unstable you either underclock/overvolt or invest in a better cooling system.

Games run faster than 60fps all the time on PCs, that's nothing special at all. If you turn down resolution and quality you can make any game run over 60fps. That's why most pro gamers play with settings all the way down ;) Look at some Starcraft 2 first person footage.
