There can be an element of that to a chess match that can make playing somebody face-to-face a unique experience, but it has absolutely zero to do with chess itself. Chess is a game of strategy and math, period. If you don't believe me I suggest you consider why it is that we've built machines that can crush any human opponent thrown at them, without the benefit of seeing their face.

What did they list "batteries not replaceable" as a downside? I thought people preferred things that you could charge... I know I do.
But yeah, I'm very happy with mine. The surround works great for PS3 games, and the quality of it in stereo is really good too. Good enough that I often use it to listen to music from my laptop.

That works both ways. Nintendo made one console with wacky controllers and now everybody acts like they're the mothers of innovation.
As you say, it won't necessarily make a big difference if the Wii-U is only the weakest of the next gen by a small margin. If it's the weakest of THIS gen though, then Nintendo will be in the same sinking boat they are in with the Wii at the moment.

Absolutely. A lot of this had to do with the fact that they were (in a loose sense of the word) ports of coin-crunchers. I seemed to me that that level of difficulty kind of set the standard at the time, and it held throughout that console generation for the most part.

While I personally wouldn't go around crapping on something before I listen to it, I certainly wouldn't give something with a title like this the opportunity of a listen. It's for the same reason that I don't click on the "Top 10 reasons the game you love sucks" articles. Nobody has been forced into anything. Bioware made the decision to give players the option of sexual preference, and it's not like it's become the norm in games at all. Relax man.
