What's funny to me is that when you bring up the animal that is gaming-journalism, there doesn't seem to be a single person who respects it, yet we all keep it afloat. We all bitch about flamebait titles that fish for hits, sensationalist nonsense, and fabricated subjects that can be used for front-page-fodder. The truth is though, it's not the websites that publish that kind of garbage that get it on the front page of N4G *on a daily basis and without fail*, it's the readers....

Yes. The article is joking.

Not sure if we'll get GT6 on PS5.

Yeah, I have a couple of friend who have been playing and they said things have improved greatly since release, and that the changes that are coming are set to turn things from good to great. The changes are even being incorporated into the story and world, which is really cool for people who are playing through the transition.

Definitely picking this up on PS3 since my PC didn't do very well on the benchmark.

What I'm getting at with that comment is that unless you work for any of those companies, your energy is misplaced. As a person who plays games you should know that a healthy library is probably the most important thing that a console can deliver to you. While the exclusivity of the games you play have no bearing on how much you enjoy the games available to you, keep in mind that the securing of exclusive titles is a move being done under the "sales matter" banner, in hopes of g...

Haha no prob man, I feel a little guilty though, you might get totally roped back in like I did. I guess there are worse things though. There are other things I wanted to share, but felt like I typed to much already. If you come back you'll get to seeing them sooner or later though. It's a very different place.

If you wind up coming back and end up in Bahamut server feel free to hit me up, same name as my SN in here.

The changes to FFXI are tremendous. Let me throw a few facts at you:

- The traditional 6-member party system is out the window for the most part. EP and DC mobs yield more experience than they used to, but the big game-changer (or one of the two) for xp is the GOV manuals that are in many areas. Complete a page trial (such as: Kill 6 members of the skeleton family) on mobs that are EP or tougher within the given area, and you get a hefty xp bonus at the end, and the training ...

Do you play sales figures on your console or games?

Do you understand how non-gamers can get overweight? Congratulations, you know get how gamers can become overweight.

Btw if given the choice between being (or being around) a fat guy, or being the judgmental prick who bases opinions on another person's lifestyle based on their waist size while trying to tout how virtuous his own habits are, I'd be the fat guy every time.

@Letros
I don't believe anything as corporations would have me believe it. I did have a point there that is actually relevant though (that you're ignoring in favor of splitting hairs over who pirates more), which is that piracy is not counted when sales statistics are measured, no matter how rampant piracy is in a given country. Also, that piracy (being a digital matter) is global, no matter where the source is.

I'm pretty sure the data they've collected to determine the number of "online PC gamers" and "mobile gamers" is related to some sort of video game sales statistic rather than just "China has more people with phones", so the assertion is probably legit.

FYI, the US and Europe have big piracy problems as well. The Caribbean too.

" Brilliant, pure Genius from those Gaming Gods over at Valve"

God that sentence made me puke in my mouth a little. I've never seen such a naked display of game-platform leg-humping in my life aside from active and aggressive trolls. Congratulations, it's been a while since anything on the internet has effectively revolted me.

@LX-General-Kaos
Nobody paints Nintendo in a bad light but themselves. I sat through a few console generations waiting for them to come through like the Nintendo of old until I finally got sick of paying a couple hundred $ every few years just to play Mario and Zelda. It's no conspiracy, not everybody is as charmed by the same two 20-year-old franchises anymore, nor their wacky spinoffs.

It's nice that you have your fun trolling in here, but I hope you don...

@Biggest
I think that's the point that a lot of people seem to be missing. The fact that people are replying seriously in Nintendo's defense says a whole lot. They're finding screens of games that look better than a 2005 game. The argument shouldn't even be entertained, wouldn't be across any other console gen, but that is the situation the Wii is in. Is the hardware better than last gen? Sure, but the fact that a good argument can be made for the opposition says a...

I'm not saying the father isn't 100% responsible for what happened, but let's not act like anyone here reads the terms and conditions attached to the vast majority of purchases they make. I'm sure you yourself could have easily signed your soul away dozens of times without knowing. Like everyone else, you scroll to the bottom and hit "agree".

The father is obviously not very tech-savvy and (surprisingly?) has little experience with paid console servi...
