That level looks absolutely massive and it appears that you can literally go anywhere. This games is going to be a masterpiece.
Sorry to break it to the author, but ND could create dozens of new Drake titles if they really wanted to by having the story occur before his death. Unlikely, but still possible.
On another topic, regarding Drake's penchant for shooting people: "c’mon, let’s not deny it, the dude’s a cold-blooded killer and I won’t let anyone forget it." I have never understood this attitude. Drake has never murdered anyone that I can recall. Somehow shooting back at the hoards...
Data caps are now a reality in Canada and many places in the U.S. Multi-Gigabyte game downloads and updates really eat into a 300 Gb cap.
I don't have an Xbox One yet (I have one borrowed) but I sincerely hope this game is as amazing as the hype because I really want to see some different exclusives for the Xbox that aren't called Forza, Halo, or Gears of War. Scalebound and Crackdown look amazing, so fingers crossed that all of these games live up to expectations.
Sorry to say, but with perhaps a few exceptions none of these games will ever be available as backward compatible. The Capcom games especially since they no longer have the rights to Marvel.
I find the lack of good categories and an alphabetic games list frustrating. Finding demos is a huge pain in the ass because unless it is one of the featured tiles I have no idea what is available.
What's the point? There will still be a huge day one patch of several gigabytes. Not to pick on this game, but it's an annoying trend.
We have no idea what the NX is, its form factor, method of display (if any), control scheme, etc. Until we know more than the just about nothing we have about the NX the question is utterly premature.
I think the colors look better on the 360 version. Everything is washed on on the Deathinitive version.
Given the existence and size of day-one patches for all games it means nothing about a game, period.
The article headline is a little over the top. Does World of Warcraft effectively turn my desktop into "the most powerful computer ever made"? Of course not.
That said, huge, shared, persistent gaming worlds are exactly what cloud computing does best.
This looks like a great controller, but not at $150.
Apparently you have never heard of an unauthorized biography or documentary. Do you think Morgan Spurlock needed McDonald's authorization or approval to make "Super Size Me"?
ShaunCameron, you misunderstand. Companies aren't investing in mobile AND console gaming, they are developing mobile gaming at the expense of console gaming.
Agreed.
Greed being the active word here.
That's a more sensible answer than everyone blathering on about "DAY 1!"
Gamers are some of the most gullible, easily fooled consumers around.
This is the real promise and reality of cloud computing and none of this horse manure about enhancing console graphics.
Huge, enormous, persistent worlds that exist on servers that perform all of the necessary processing to maintain the world in real time (well, as close to real time as network latency will allow). The work of displaying the persistent world locally would fall on your console, naturally.
The natural progression of the client/server model th...
I will actually believe in VR gaming when someone -- anyone -- actually releases their VR product to market. As of yet it all feels like vaporware.
"Impressive first look"? All we have seen is a cut scene from the game. Yes, it looks very nice. How about some actual gameplay so I can judge for myself?
I had no idea about "Life is Strange" until this video. It completely slipped under my radar, so I just ordered it.
