What crime? There are many people that managed to get legitimite copies early.
"The difference between cross platform launch window games will be small, and improved graphics drivers plus the power of the cloud might yet tip the balance in Xbox One’s favour. Nonetheless, at launch, PS4 will be the more capable console."
Still pushing this bullshit that the "power of the cloud" is going to improve Xbone's performance. What utter and complete horseshit. I love my 360, but this cloud nonsense is clouding people's judgement and t...
Rockstar cannot legally pull any videos. You have fair use rights to copy written material for review and criticism. You don't need Rockstar's approval to post videos or commentary of any game elements even if the game has not been released yet.
No, Rockstar does not have the right to pull videos. Fair use of copy written material for discussion, review, and criticism is enshrined in American law.
Microsoft is on very shaky legal ground for banning those posting game footage of a legitimately purchased copies of the game. Fair use is enshrined in American law for a reason.
Perhaps in some smaller urban centers or towns the game will sell out. In larger cities with multiple vendors there is little chance of this happening, at least in the first few weeks. As stock dwindles the game will probably become hard -- although not impossible -- to find.
The only game in the last few years that I actually had minor difficulty getting a copy of was Modern Warfare 2, and even then I just had to cross the street to a different store to get a copy.
How kind that a Microsoft spokesman would clarify the performance differences between the two consoles. Perhaps a Ford spokesperson would comment on the performance advantages of Ford over Ferrari?
The PS3 is not costing Sony money; it's their TV and other electronics divisions that are bleeding. Cheap Korean LCD manufacturers like LG have taken a huge chunk of Sony's revenue.
"Kinect is a complete dominant success, it broke sales records sold lots of units and software, expanded its companies market and pushed gaming and console interaction forward.
It did this against all of the bias hatred lies slanderous campaigns launched at it from IGN GT Kotaku EGM and every other gaming news site out there, plus sony fanboys and youtube bloggers trying to get hits."
You're right in that Kinect 1.0 was a great sales success, selling not...
"3.You need pre orders for some games if you want them day one."
In the days of cartridge based games this was typically true as cartridges were far more expensive to manufacture than disks and there weren't as many retailers selling games. In the last decade cartridges have given way to inexpensive disks, and there are far more retailers selling games than ever.
If you can't find dozens of copies of any given game on release day in one of ...
Because so many people have their heads in the clouds about the potential of cloud of computing. There is nothing particularly unique about Microsoft's cloud computing initiative that can't be duplicated by someone else.
In reality, yes, that is essentially what the cloud can do. Aggregate the data and then use that data to create AI opponents that have real world strengths and weaknesses, just like a human opponent.
The power of the cloud is in the data, data that can be used to create more realistic, persistent worlds. The cloud is not going increase texture fill rates, polygon counts, physics calculations, processing power, or any other such nonsense. If you believe that then you are swall...
Disney saw the absolutely obscene amount of money being made by the Skylanders franchise and wanted in.
Translated into actual English the game feature appears to be that cars left on the street can collect parking tickets that may result in the car being towed, and if the ticket is not paid you forfeit the car and all the time, effort and money you invested.
I'm sure everyone got the gist of it without my help.
It's interesting that globalization is only supposed to work for corporations and not consumers.
What a load of rubbish. You're shouting at the rain in the clouds if you actually think Microsoft's cloud computing claptrap is going to do real time AI and game physics.
You have swallowed Microsoft's marketing doublespeak hook, line, and sinker.
What you are thinking of is a DVD player, not a game console.
If I want to buy a console where I can play next generation games without Internet access I will buy... a PS4.
Phil's comment about buying a 360 for off-line use is utter stupidity.
I am blown away by the ambition level of this game and how any of it is possible on current generation consoles.
The other thought I had was if this game is going to fit on one Xbox 360 game disk or if it will ship on multiple disks for the 360.
People have a First Amendment right to discuss, criticize, praise, post screen shots and video segments of, and otherwise say whatever comes to their minds about the game.
