The 3DS is one instance in which the price was dropped dramatically and everyone who brought the 3DS before the price drop got a ton of perks as an apology. If you want to point out a reason to buy a Nintendo product at launch then point to the redesign of the 3DS and DS. Even then those are only there handhelds, Nintendo has always been consistent with their console releases. Also they have stated multiple times that they have learned from their situation.

I rented Skyrim for my ps3 and played it for 80 hours, that was more than enough to confirm for me that once again Bethesda was fucking over PS3 gamers. I brought Skyrim for my 360, if I had a better PC I would have got it for that.
Bethesda has a long history of fucking over PS3 customers, they did it with Oblivion, both Fallouts, and now Skyrim. I feel bad for anyone that only has a ps3, but if you want a quality Bethesda game get it for PC or settle for 360.
This is exactly what Nintendo needs to do. They have to get that WiiU Gamepad in the hands of gamers so they can judge for themselves if it is good or bad.
Developers where openly complaining about the PS3 being hard to develop for before it ever released. Most devs have been saying good things about developing for WiiU and I don't think that is just to grab headlines.
I am just glad that devs are liking what they see of the WiiU so far. Hopefully third parties will be able to sell their games well on WiiU.
