It well worth your money, it is 25-35 hours of gameplay with plenty of replay and ... "It really is something special. Production values are through the roof and gameplay just feels fresh." - PaladinXII
I was busy typing my posting and after hitting apply. I saw your posting. I was thrilled with GameStop's DLC for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. (Read more on that subject, a few postings below yours - "Pros and Cons").
But I would like to add, if people never worked retail or any other job than their current job. Understandably do not have a clue. They treat employee's like if they were executives of that store franchise. And everything is expected be microwaved...
I am not sure GameStop is totally at fault here. Some miss communication or configuration somewhere I guess. But I do know that this year alone they have had the best DLC content for popular games like L.A. Noire, and now Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Amazon has lately been lacking in that category. But Amazon's price and free shipping on orders above $25 is a great deal. I do most of my selling of games on that site. But when it comes to trading in games that are a year old or more. It is m...
AGREE. And if you look at the number of reviews, they are mostly the 360 version. Gamerankings.com.
Reviews: 13 (PC), 15 (PS3), 28 (Xbox360)
I guess I could care less about having "extra stuff" (PS3) but upgraded textures (PC) would be nice.
"There were some compromises about the disc space. For example, we have more SKUs on the X360 because we are limited to just one language per disc, compared to the Blu-ray, where we can put more stuff. For the PC version, we upgraded the textures. That’s the only difference. Other than that, the experience is the same."
Lets get back to gam...
When the majority of reviews are 9's or higher. A score like this site counteracts the respectability of its credibility as a game site.
According to the developers, they were not going for a realistic look but more of an artistic style. The origin of this game is inspired by the novel, a creative art form. Just think how long it would take for this game to come out if they did go more realistic for visuals. 4 years in the making would increase to 5 or more? LOL
When I first saw the score ... I went straight to the comments posted here. Thank you guys for confirming my thoughts and actions. :)
Anything less than a 9 is handed a fail notice. LOL
This may end up being a promotional video for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. :)
I just do not understand why people cannot tell the difference (it's simple, one is lighter and the other is darker). Just looking at the picture next to the head line is plainly showing the difference. You do not even have to click on the article to see more. It is just more the same. LOL
Good color and contrast for the 360 and washed out color and contrast for the PS3. Could it be the wrong brightness adjustment that is causing some wash out effects for the PS3? Either way, what ever you prefer for what media to play this amazing game is to your own personal taste I guess.
A run through along with no side missions. It was said to be about 25 hours. But to complete the game ... nearly 35-40 hours. :)
"But c'mon, there's got have been something that the developers didn't get into Human Revolution before sending off the finished game!" Sounds like Daniel R. Bischoff who posted this article was rather too excited ("But c'mon, there's got have been something ..."). I can certainly understand his excitement. :)
Enjoyed the trailer but really annoyed by the colorful teenage dialog from the commentary's in this trailer. And the negative nip picking of the negatives seemed overdone.

To balance things out, one should point out the positives, like the type of color palette being used. This helps the viewer decide for themselves on whether or not this is a bad or good game (demo). Sorry guys, you may need a bar of soap to clean up your presentation a bit.
Trailer stopped less than half way through. But I agree it was most likely on easy. I would personally hate to die and be recorded for all to see. The game has gotten high scores already, nothing to worry here. :)
(8/13/11) 10 more days for USA release, I agree on the want it now feeling. :)
Funny, that was going over my head since the "Beta" (pre-build)leak footage that I have seen on this subject. It is rather unfortunate to have the take down of a person stooping over an object, suddenly change the person to a standing position. It would be more realistic for them to be grabbed and brought to the up-right position as part of the take down.
Nearly 4 years in production ... time and money is your enemy. Time was spent on nearly 60 hours of game play ...
Purchase Deus Ex: Human Revolution. One of many reasons, with three alternatives of approach of game style modes (and or paths) on each run through and 25 hours or so of gameplay (including side missions) alone. Dead Island will be long dead and forgotten. With no chance of coming back from it. With money being rather scarce for most people in this economy. You can bet your bottom dollar that Deus Ex: Human Revolution is worth every penny.
The loading time reminds me of Mass Effect 2. At least Deus Ex: HR had things you could read like a short story follow up. When you are starting again from the last time you played. And well, other times during the game, this gives a person an opportunity to take a short break and stretch a little bit or a refreshment refill after playing for hours (LOL). :)
