The sly games are amazing and all I really want is Sly 4. The games honestly still look phenomenal on ps2 because of their art style. It's kind of like Okami in that HD graphics really can't make this game look that much more beautiful than it already is with its standout art.
Sly 2 is the pinnacle of the series with its fantastic heist schemes, varied environments, and creative missions. I want Sly 4 to be pretty much the same as Sly 2 but with new environment...
It's just too expensive right now. I'm going to wait for 3Dtvs without glasses (they were at CES) and for the price to drop! I can't wait to try it, though. There's just no huge urgency to get it.
Great online function. It had the frenetic pace of Modern Warfare coupled with some tiny strategy and class elements that really made it stand out!
I felt the same way about the second one. It was just missing that "X" factor. Also, the second one is actually longer than the first one, but it felt shorter to me, too.
gamesthirst is the absolute worst website to ever be created.
Resistance has its charm, but I really think its been overstepped by Killzone as far as the "Sony" FPS megahit is concerned. Although R2 was fun, it was surprisingly less polished than many of their other games. I would really like to see it if they made some cool improvements, though!
I even have to admit that I got addicted to the online for a while, but the single player campaign was absolutely inexcusable. 5 wasted hours of my life.
An example of a game that is a fantastic copycat in my opinion is Okami. It takes the very basic layout of Zelda and adds its own art design, level design, and characters to the mix making an incredibly fun and stunningly beautiful action adventure.
Prototype was a fun little rental and one time experience while Infamous has staying power and the ability to turn into a series. There was so much controversy about this last year largely because the 360 had NO exclusives coming out around then while the ps3 had one from a pretty big developer.
Personally, Infamous is just more polished and more fun to me, but thats just an opinion.
Can't wait to try it. If not for anything other than the artstyle.
Fun game, but pretty dissappointing on the innovation side. I'm not asking for totally different gameplay, just something a LITTLE different to mix it up a bit.
I don't know what it is about this game, but I just can't put it down! Lots of fun.
Well, pretty much anything is better than the first one's! That was really the one department where the game failed miserably for me. I'm not even a graphics whore and those were UGLY! I would also like to see them make it slightly more console friendly with the menu system.
you're gonna be waitin for a while. For them to release a new console would be like commiting business suicide splitting their market into two separate products when they already have a gigantic install base on one. I honestly don't see them getting a new console for quite some time.
I love their games, and journey does look amazing! However, I hope I don't feel like so much of a treehugger by the end of this one unlike FLOWER. I hate that creepy hippie feeling!
I like the desert idea, but I want a lot of diversity like the second one had with cities, museums, jungles, and snowy mountaintops. I also agree with the vehicles. I really wanted to control that tank or the trucks in the second one instead of just hopping across them.
Not a bad trailer, but I get a feeling that
1. The game is going to be really short
2. It's going to be A LOT like the cell shaded prince of persia
Solid looking game, but it just doesn't have the WOW factor that games like Infamous 2, Gears 3, and Killzone 3 do. I bet its going to be a fantastic rental, though.
This is gonna be awesome.
I really appreciate this game for what it is. If you love cars and video games, this game will be like heaven. I'm just afraid it will be overwhelming for people who really don't know that much about cars. The game really did look beautiful at the press conference in the trailer, though, and I am looking forward to picking it up come November! I'll never be able to actually own one of these cars, so I might as well feel like I do in a videogame.
HELLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOO! LITTLE BIG PLANET 2. Not even a mention. And that guy in the middle is such an xbox fanboy. Halo:Reach looks "new" (WTF) and Alan Wake is his emotional game of the year (heavy rain says HI!). Gran Turismo 5 also barely got a mention. Absolutely despicable.
