Wow, those were the scores they gave those games. Holy cow, we're in for something special here people.
Come on, man. 91/100 is an amazing score. While I too don't agree with the floaty jumping being a negative and it being just the way LBP is meant to play, I don't think this game is a 10/10 along with any other game. Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 are two games that I believe have come the closest to being perfect, but LBP is just too hard to give a 10/10 to because its partly up to the users to create content.
The ending of this game spoiled an above average action platformer. Thats all there is to it for me.
^^ I know for sure that you can adjust the jumping. I don't know about the speed of running, but you could always make a "Sonic" puppet that Sackboy controls. You can make those any speed you want.
Wow, OK. Lets calm down for a second here. Gran Turismo 4 is a racing simulator. No story, just cars and driving. Obviously that game would score lower now because it is dated and there are other games of the same ilk like Forza that do it better.
Name one platformer that tries to do the same thing as Sly Cooper. One! Sly Cooper sets out on heists around the world with a combination of stealth and platforming. No other game does that therefore you have nothing to c...
Three games averaging an 8.8 on metacritic for $40 and they give it a 7.4? This guy needs to shut up.
When he fell off that thing and then he grabbed that other thing and then the fire and then he got his foot stuck and then Sully had to get it out and then he had to shoot people and then he punched a guy and then and then and then...... Wow, I can't wait for this game.
cool
I was just replaying the first Resistance because I'm so excited, and that actually holds up pretty well. There are a couple funny things like no throwing animations for the grenade and a REALLY low crouching mechanic, but it actually doesn't look too bad. Anyways, I absolutely cannot wait for the return of the weapon wheel, a more survival horror vibe, and the great multiplayer. Killzone 3 is first, but this is the next big shooter on my radar after February, thats for sure.
Cannot wait for Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 to be debuted. Fall is set with four HUGE exclusives next year with Twisted Metal, The Last Guardian, Uncharted 3, and Resistance 3. Plus, it doesn't look like any of these are going to be delayed except for possibly Twisted Metal (I really hope not!).
wow, you're right. I just set it and it looks awesome!
I want this game NOW!!!!!
I guess so. Why not? Looks pretty quirky, but it'll be nice to get something a little more light hearted than other games these days.
I don't know what he's smoking. An 8 hour campaign and a new online features for 10 bucks is an incredible value.
Wow, I haven't heard about Phil since he left Sony. Its great to see that he's still active in the industry, even if I don't agree with everything he says.
He brings up some great points. It seems like he knows this is a fabulous racing and driving game, but the interface is just pretty dated, they tried to do too much instead of just focussing on what GT is good at (driving all kinds of cars around some of the most well known tracks in the world), and just being a little misguided at some points. I love the game, but I feel as though I have to dig through a lot of stuff in the game before I get to what I want to do, which is just drive cars. ...
The games been out for a week now. Who cares if some nameless site gave it a 3/5? Whatever. All I know is that I'm having fun with it. Although, these menus are absolutely abysmal.
Having played the game extensively since last Wednesday, I don't understand this. I love it, but I can also see other people's issues with the loading, textures, and some other things. There is no way this game should score below a 7/10, though. Even if you absolutely hate Gran Turismo, the amount of content and the quality of the actual racing should be more than enough to score at least a 7/10 or a 3.5/5. Personally, I would give it a 9.1 because of how much fun I'm having w...
Who cares? I'm really loving the game so far and thats all that matters to me. To some people, this game is an 8.5 and I can easily see why. The loads are a little long, there are a LOT of menus, and some of the tracks are a bit questionable in the graphics department. To me, however, this game is a 9.1 because of the amount of content, beauty of the cars, and overall fun I'm having with it. Everything listed as faults has been plaguing GT games since the first one, and while they...
My lord. Thats a lot of stuff to wrap your head around. I cannot wait to see what people make with it. I also haven't played LBP 1 in a long time so I want to see some of the newer levels from there. I can't wait. Endless content has finally come in the form of LBP2.
