Even the menu system exudes class and simplicity. This game is going to be a monster in the racing genre. I doubt anything will be able to live to this driving simulator for years.
These articles are ridiculous.
What we know: You shoot stuff
I mean, when the rubber meets the road, thats what Halo is. shooting stuff. And its damn fun!
Open it up with the Last Guardian. Announce a sudden Move price drop to show that they hoodwinked Microsoft. Say something about FFVs.13 being at Tokyo Games Show. Give Insomniac some time to show their new exclusive. That's really all I want at the show.
Except for a DEMON'S SOULS 2! I would fall out of my chair if that happened.
I vote for Forge 2.0. Seems like a really innovative way to engage an online community for a first person shooter. I'm not a big fan of HALO, but I dabble at my friends house once in a while and I own Halo 2. Fun games, but just not my style or taste.
You know. I've seen many reviewers lately stating that they in fact haven't finished their games. One example was IGN with Naughty Bear. Sure, it was a horrible game, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't finish the game. Its part of their JOB. Its like if I worked in A Coca-Cola factory and didn't decide to put caps on the bottle that day.
The wii isn't the best. The ps3 isn't the best. The xbox 360 isn't the best. The pc isn't the best. If everyone was in agreement of which platform was the best then there would be no competition in the market because the consumer wouldn't buy any other platform. Articles like this either come from people who have somehow attached all of their hopes and dreams to a piece of machinery (a.k.a. losers) or from people that want to get hits on their websites desperately. I actually enjoyed this game when it came out. Sure, there were issues, but I always feel like there's so much heart in the Ratchet and Clank games that it overcomes most of their issues.
I would have to put alan wake and white knight chronicles on this list. Both of those were totally overhyped (especially alan wake) and both had incredibly long development cycles. While Alan wake was at least decent, it was no where near what it should have been. Heavy Rain was a much more emotional and psycholically thrilling experience and it had a much smaller budget.
I've never seen so many demo impressions for one game in my life! Seriously people, the game is a week and a half away. That's NOTHING! We all know the demo was only fair to good, but demos for open world games are tough to pull off. Wait for the full game!
I'm getting kind of tired of all the focus on this game. I'm sure it'll be great and all, but its probably a couple years off. How about we wait a while for more information about the game and then go crazy with assumptions and opinion articles.
YAY!!!! Even though they went to EA, I'm sure theres still going to be perks for Sony with their games like exclusive content and things like that. I just want Insomniac to go out of the box a little. Once they know how to do something, Insomniac is known to sticking to it for a LONG time and I want to see them evolve because they are so talented
Ninja Theory has annoyed me more and more as years wear on. They just seem whiny to me. They always talk about all of these fantastic characters and never about gameplay. Heavenly Sword was the same way and while it was entertaining, it really only had enough content to be a 15-20 dollar downloadable title. I'm very skeptical of this developer right now and while I hope they prove me wrong with Enslaved, I am highly doubting it at this point.
Extremely well written review. It sounds like he really LOVED the game, but he just couldn't give it a higher score because of some of the gameplay parts. Personally, I think I'm going to wait until its around 40 bucks instead of 60 or maybe there'll be a deal at gamestop or something.
I actually agree with the silent protagonist thing. That always bothers me about some games. I play videogames to be transported to a new world with exciting characters and environments. A lifeless character is almost the same thing as having an untextured room in a videogame.
doesn't "bio" mean life? I kind of always associate bio with water because thats where life started. They should have called it Aeroshock or Arrowshock for a cooler name. I mean, they had systemshock, bioshock, and now aeroshock. That definitely makes more sense to me.
I really think that the ps3 is going to stick around for its 10 year plan which would put the ps4 in 2016. Personally, I don't think there is going to be much of a leap in graphics since a lot of games like God of War 3 and MGS4 and Uncharted 2 look SO good. During the ps2 generation I could actually see how games could look legitimately better than they already did, but now its harder. Also, with Move releasing which will probably succeed in the LONG run but not the SHORT run, I just ...
I definitely think time will tell, but this studio takes a LONG time on their games and it really shows in their work. I think its safe to say that this will be very similar. Their games, while not everyone understands them or even likes them, command massive amounts of respect in the gaming industry. When somebody says Team ICO in the game industry, people listen, and for good reason.
FINALLY!!!!!! I loved this game. Me and my sister played this all the time when we were younger and I would really like to play it again.
I love Nintendo, but I want a new IP, dammit! I'm tired of living in the past when I play my wii. Mario, Zelda, Samus, Kirby, Luigi, and the others will always have a place in my heart, but I want Nintendo to add to that lineup with some fresh new characters and ideas.
The courses look so intricate and exciting!
