Well, I'm not too worried about how good the game is going to be. However, I am worried about the length. I really want this game to be 20+ hours, but the gameplay is very fast paced and I don't know if it'll be that long.
Oh, now come on Trey, we all know that you sound a little biased here. Sure, the ps3 is really coming into its own now with probably the best lineup of first party exclusives on current gen consoles, but the wii and 360 also have very diverse libraries since they were popular right away in 2006. Although the other two consoles are slowing down now (especially 360. Whats up Microsoft?) a consumer can still get a very wholesome gaming experience from any of the three consoles which bodes wel...
You can have a lot of fun with them as long as you don't compare it to the great games you played in the arcade when you were growing up. Both go for very different feels. My rule is to never compare a videogame to one you grew up with because Nostalgia always plays a part.
looks awesome, but this could be one of those games thats only 4-5 hours long because its so fast paced like Sin and Pinushment 2: Star Successor. I hope not, though.
I think they're banking on people getting excited for GT5 and not being able to wait, so they'll play this to hold them over.
However, did you see those graphics? I love when games use blur effects to cover up crappy textures and jaggies.
That review actually seemed pretty honest. You should definitely expect more than 10-12 hours out of an open world game. Games like Uncharted 2 and Ninja Gaident Sigma 2 took me about that time frame and those are linear action games, for goodness sake! I never really mind the length of a game, but when it comes to open world games, I just have come to expect at least 15-20 hours for JUST the story.
I'm still skeptical. I thought the game was totally overhyped at E3 and I still don't think it will be as good as everyone thinks it will be. I do hope it proves me wrong, though.
Thats cool. If they could just change the effin' name I would be so much happier though! bioshock infinite is such a lame name! How about evoshock, chronoshock, or any-latin-or-greek-root-shock.
Looks fun, but there are SO many shooters. Personally, I think I'm going to wait for Killzone 3 next February. The online will be strong for a long time on Killzone, another one won't come out for at least 2 years, I want to try move with it, and it's an absolutely beautiful game.
I might get this sometime next summer for cheap during the game lull, though.
I'm actually replaying the first one right now and its really fun. I'm on the plant part. Its a great game, but it did have just a couple issues. After the first few chapters the objectives and gameplay got to be slightly repetitive, a couple chapters just weren't needed like the second medical wing chapter, and a lot of the environments looked extremely similar.
However, the sound design is probably one of the best in all video games. Even when you know a...
Wow, thats a great deal. They should put that offer in stores right befoer infamous 2 comes out.
This game looks really cool in the screenshots and I'm really hoping for it to deliver the goods. However, this is also a game that I will wait for the reviews and impressions before I buy.
Pretty excited for this game, but I almost wish it wasn't an fps. What is this, the 200th post apocalyptic fps in the last 4 years? I think more of a third person view would allow for a bigger graphical view.
Yeah, thats awesome. Even if you don't use the feature, its still pretty cool to think about.
Yeah, Ivan, I was really dissappointed when I heard about height because I wanted to play it with my friends and I'm 6'8". Obviously, my friends are much shorter than me and that was pretty much the reason I decided I won't get Kinect.
A complex story for call of duty? HA! If I'm going to play a call of duty game, I don't want a complex story honestly. I want to run around and shoot stuff with big explosions all around me!
Yeah, the desert is really the logical next step in the series. However, they could link cultures together and have diverse environments like in Uncharted 2. I feel like they need a game without jungles, though, because I think thats been overused this generation.
bad marketing, run of the mill gameplay, uninspired characters, boring story. Its a good game technically, but it just doesn't differentiate itself from other games at all.
I didn't even touch the multiplayer in bioshock 2 before selling it back. It just didn't interest me AT ALL.
My mom LOVES this game. Whenever she comes over to my house, this is all she ever wants to do. She will be very pleased that her minigolf skills will be shown off virtually now.
