That's ridiculous, so it's Platinum's job to shop for someone to pick up the publishing? Sega owns the publishing rights, so it may have been their idea to approach Nintendo. What I don't get is people act like this is the first game in history to do this, or like the first game sold 5 or 6 million copies...
I plan on purchasing an XbOne for Titanfall, but I'm not so ignorant to think that it will be the only game on the system that interests me. I'm not crying either for the game to come to this system or that one.
At this point it's not Platinum's job to make the game a success, that's Nintendo's job to market the game. Platinum is getting paid to make the game and that's what they wanted to do... If you guys were so gungho that Microsoft or Sony would have stepped in to pick up the publishing, neither one has shown interest in the likes of Devils Third and that game looked like it showed promise. I know that it's a different developer, just saying it wasn't a issue until N...
No that part will still be ignored, but the man clearly knows and watches the gaming communities. Because over the last year that's mostly what fan boys have been crying over when it comes to Bayonetta. Even the part about people not wanting to have to buy new hardware, but still wanting the game on PS4 and XbOne.
Good article about the different suits in gaming and a very unnecessary jab a Metroid being a Nintendo exclusive. What does that even have to do with the topic at all?
My bet is that Naughty Dogs first game will push the PS4 to its limits. Seeing what they did on PS3, whatever their first game may be. It will be the best looking PS4 game for many years to come...
This is the most ridiculous argument about articles like this. Most of the people that say they love the Bayonetta franchise would buy and support the game but don't want to purchase a WiiU for only one game(because they just know for sure that there will never be another game that interests them on the system.) But go look in some of those older "We hope Nintendo goes 3rd party threads!" To see the very same people claiming that they would love to see a Mario, Zelda, Metroid, M...
Shouldn't you be somewhere forcing yourself to play Knack! If PS4 owners had games to play, they wouldn't be hanging out in articles that don't pertain to their system of choice. Here's why I don't get the new age spec gamers. Because most of you probably own a iPhone and they generally aren't the most technical advanced phones on the market. But that doesn't stop them from performing great against their competitors. This generation is going to be way to long I can...
Because I guess a gorilla with a tie should be toting a gun in your opinion ;) Nice logic
Just a week and a half till Titanfall...
Destiny, Titanfall, The Division and The Crew are the only games that interest me for these consoles.
Not so, everyone isn't that delusional. But what I will say is that you guys aren't being realistic either. Because the PS4 trounces the 360/PS3 in raw horsepower and most of the games just don't show the same gap as the specs on paper show... I think this is the realization of this situation. If Nintendo gave Retro a good 20-30 million dollar budget, I'm almost betting the visuals could rival some of the best PS4 games. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it would look...
At this point even if Retro finishes the graphics engine before e3 and makes a hype trailer using Metroid Prime 3's models and code similar to WW:HD. I'd be very happy just to get a glimpse of what they may have in the works for Samus...
I know the PS4 is selling well now, but Sony fans should really learn to be more humble when it comes to spreading the news. In light of the Vita doing worse than the WiiU at the moment and Sony's name coming over the air with layoffs, 1.1billion dollar projected losses (projected, which means it may end up being more), selling off buildings, closing studios and the most recent cancellation of a high profile title from one of its trusted game developers. I understand wanting to stay in a ...
It will make a lot of these publishers more gunshy when it comes to new untested IP's. Just look at Ubisoft and the Assassins Creed franchise. The yearly installments will soon make people tire of even seeing the next game being announced.
At this point I'd rather that they leave the 2d Metroid games to the handhelds. As much as I like the Prime Trilogy, I think a totally bad ass Metroid in a game play style of Batman AA could do wonders for the bounty hunter.
I think many people forget that the first Prime actually sold very well. It was the fact that the sequels really didn't offer much beyond the first Prime games is probably the biggest reason they didn't sell as good. Prime2 was a great game, but it felt more like Prime 1.5 than a true sequel. Nintendo just needs to do something ground breaking and epic with the franchise to make gamers take notice.
IGN brought up a interesting change for the series that as soon as I heard it I thought wow that would be awesome! If Nintendo let RockSteady have a shot of making their own Metroid game... Seeing what they did with the Batman license, Metroid is a game based on isolation and a solo lead just like Batman and I think they could breathe new life into Samus! They could do this and let Retro Studios work on something new.
The title of this article made me think Nintendo pulled a Sony and canceled a high profile game in development or something... Damn people don't scare me like that!
They just purchased that factory of Renesas they don't own the whole company... Renesas is a very large company in general
Lol
It does this generation, but only if the PS4 stays out front!
Last gen it was all about the games and great exclusives, because the Wii was in the lead saleswise... I really don't get why so many people are up in arms over this? If I were Nintendo, I'd go out and make Devil's Third, the next Soul Caliber game, Shenmue, Mega Man, Lost Planet and Street Fighter exclusives! Now that would really piss some people off...
