After getting started on playing SMT4, I can barely wait until the SMTxFire Emblem comes out. Nintendo has a bunch of potentially great games coming and I for one hope that they announce more along these in store... Nintendo needs some extra manpower and I would like to see them go after established studios that could give them some muscle in those departments. I think this is more to do with their IP brands branching outside of the gaming only space. Like say a Metroid or Zelda live action movie, Nintendo characters at Disney World or Mario in Toy Story... Things like that!

The GameCube was not a failure, it was very profitable for Nintendo as a whole. The system just didn't have the mass appeal of the PS2, but you can't always make a system that's going to dominate the market space! Dreamcast did not fail, Sega did... I don't think realism suits Zelda... He's very talented but I would rather my Zelda game to look more like the Zelda tech demo! Way too many games are chasing realistic designs these days. These images look like something more out of a Dark Souls game than Zelda.
To all of the people so hung up on sales going up and down guess what, they are going to continue to do this everytime new software is released. People love to troll any and all gaming news that makes themselves look right! Japan is not Nintendo's biggest market for home consoles, that would be the US and Europe. Those are the 2 main areas in which they need to focus most of their efforts into increasing sales.

People seem to forget how frequent the fanatics come in here to trash Nintendo titles and how poorly the E for Everyone games sale on Xbox and Playstation systems. Now most likely this is the next handheld, but Nintendo could very well be doing the R&D on both systems at the same time. Whatever the SoC design ends up being for a new handheld, I'm sure it will be a much scaled down version of the console counter part that will come out afterwards...
Nice breakdown of the internal studios and I also would love to see a complete listing of the internal plus the second party teams... I think the main projects along with the cross over projects and the reImagined WiiU games. Should provide the system with some very unique and exclusive titles over the next couple of years!
People are definitely getting their studios mixed up as the Tantalus did not port ME3 or Deus Ex, that was Straight Right! But seeing as how Tantalus does have a good relationship with EA, it could be an EA game...
The main difference between Sony creating new IP's and Nintendo not needing to is the fact that Nintendo has a backlog of excellent franchises that need some TLC. If Nintendo went on the warpath and announced mashups or new versions of games that no one would ever give them credit for touching again, it would set the internet ablaze! Like I've stated before I would love to see Nintendo work with Sega on a Metroid X Aliens game, that would be epic. Or mingle Starfox with Advanced Wars ...

People have to understand, its not like the WiiU had a bad launch! It actually started off really good... But no compelling Nintendo software at launch (such as 3d World) absolutely hurt the WiiU sales and this lack of software is directly related to all of the games that were in development and released for 3ds. Well you have to think it probably is really game specific though!
A game like SM3d World already has very crisp and clean textures, what would 1080p have provided over 60fps and possibly even great lighting and effects for that art style?
