The same people that haven't even touched the controller are claiming it wiil be so uncomfortable because of size and weight. Two things that we don't even know yet! Well it shouldn't offend people that this game is going to look much better on the WiiU than PS3/360. Unlike some of the other games currently confirmed, this is not a port and should look marginally better than the current HD systems.
Well and this maybe your opinion of the Wii and their games. But to someone that quotes that they are a "Hardcore JRPG and Horror Surviving" gamer, then the PS3&360 didn't fair any better in these 2 catagories. Now if you had said FPS's and Western RPG's then you would have a compelling argument.

I would challenge anyone to answer your questions and try to explain exactly when did hardcore gaming start?
The Wii is still selling really well in the face of the WiiU coming out soon. It has some really good games despite what most may think or like to portray. They just didn't all sell to the level of the Call of Duties, Assassins Creed and Bio-shocks of this generation have sold, but that doesn't make them bad games though. And frankly why would Nintendo risk putting anymore core titles on the Wii(that people may or may not buy)when they could showcase them in a better light on a brand...
Actually despite what people are stating here, Sony does have quite a bit to prove. They must show investors that the PlayStation brand is as strong as ever, even in the face of new competition. Great games are always good to showcase but the industry wants to know that they have vision for the future as well. A new smaller form factor to the PS3 would probably be a great announcement, along with a price drop as well.

Since premature leakage of information can effect the press and marketing time-frame in which Nintendo or any company for that matter has to effective promote and sell a product when its ready. They must support it if they want it to be successful. Plus Sony doesn't want to get the reputation that they put out add-ons to their systems and don't bring the full experiences to drive them home to the consumer.
The easiest way to put this is that, Xbox 360 was the target system for this game as it is for most of the multiplats this generation. This is why Vigil's comment of the WiiU version being on par graphically rings true, because it was contrived initially for the 360 and ported to the other respective systems. Which clearly we know that the current HD systems will be no where near 1080p... I know people like reading into things, but Vigil simply isn't putting more time into making the WiiU version look better! Not that they can't, but face it THq is broke and have no business splurging on anything right now.
