Exactly, your own comment states rumors of specs circulating! If these specs are to be believed, then people shouldn't be getting to hyped up just yet. Because it only puts both respective new systems at about 2x the power of WiiU. Which isn't going to result in the WiiU being left behind that much at all...

Its funny when surveys come out saying stuff like this. Because for as little as we know about the WiiU, we know even less about Durango & PS4. So what is there for people to get excited about concerning those systems if nothing is even official just yet.
If Pachter had more credibility with his predictions then maybe I would believe him. But this guy is always wrong when it comes to Nintendo and I'm sure that he never predicted back in the day that the xbox 360 would have sold as many consoles as it has already today. The market is steadily growing and mostly because with each iteration, these devices are doing more and more in the way of total entertainment...
The game does look good for a PS3 game. But I have never seen a game most recently, so heavily using of Level of Detail and Depth of Field filters as this game does. It reminds me of yester-years when the N64 used the fog effect heavily to try and hide its hardware limitations. But this game should be one of the last shinning moments in the PS3 library though!

If Nintendo is planning on keeping games at the $50 Price range, this is about to get really interesting at e3. The price of a console alone is a major impulse buy or not for most people. But to say the system will have cheaper games than the current systems, but still be HD could be a major game changer.

The right price, with the right games, third party support and online infrastructure will make it a success!

People are really misreading this article... it sounds like the guy is saying that they have an interest in bringing Diablo to consoles but will do more than simply port over the PC version to make the console game unique to their respective systems.
Well i think Zelda TOoT was a very long developed game and it was one of the highest rated games during that timeframe. So this could turn out to be a major Ps3 final swan song of this generation!

You fanatics are worried about the wrong company here. You should be out buying Sony tv's, mp3 players, bluray drives and ps3/Vita and games if you care that much...
All though that maybe true to the Nintendo core fanbase. They did alienate or cause millions of people to look elsewhere for the Bioshocks, MassEffect, AC, CoD and Skyrim games of this generation. These franchises alone are probably what factored in Nintendo selling 90+ million Wii's vs a possible 150 million Wii's. What they may have been able to achieve with HD games like the ones listed and i'm sure there are plenty more that could have helped as well.
Well at least they have the stones to come out and publicly admit fault. People are generally more forgiving after they hear open comments like this from such a large company. Not everyone wants to see Nintendo go out of business like alot of the crazed fanatics here and the sales of the 3ds just proves this fact!
Not to mention that the 360 didn't lose support in the face of the ps3 either... The real question is, How does both Sony and Microsoft stop new gamers from purchasing a 360, ps3 or WiiU over what is most likely gonna be much more expensive consoles in the ps4 & 720? Because it seems that Sony is facing this issue right now with trying to get the PSVita in peoples hands over the PSP. Transitions are tough and going from one platform to a new one, a company must be certain to point out...
Well the 3ds selling almost 20mil systems in a little over a year disagrees with you. This being with a more core software line up that the 3ds has over iOS games. And if Apple has taken all of the casual market by storm, Microsoft sure seems to be content with how the Kinect is selling right now!
