I would have put Aliens CM on that list before RE6 and TLOU... just because those games have zombies in them don't make them horror. The play styles aren't set-up to be horror in those games. I'm sure they probably lean more to the survival/action genre though from what we have seen so far of them.
Not to mention that the developer "Straight Right" that's handling the port came out a few days ago to state that they are in fact working on 2 more WiiU titles right now... Which is reason enough as to why ME3 won't be 1080p! They don't have the manpower, time and resources to be working on 3 games at once and beef up the visuals for a port.
Who knows? No one can predict what makes people go out and spend money on the things that they do!
People should start learning their facts around here! Valve is working on hardware not a console, it's already been stated. So whether that's a newly designed keyboard, controller or whatever the input form. They themselves have said they are not making a console...
I know I wasn't the only one that took reading comprehension in grade school, but please point out to me in the quote where Capcom states what the title of the post is saying! Because I can't seem to find it...
Of course the source is Eurogamer! But nowhere in that comment does it state Capcom says the WiiU won't start off the next-gen cycle. What anyone with commonsense should get from that quote, is that Capcom is telling investors that we aren't likely going to see good financial returns, until all next-gen hardware is available and has established themselves in the market. Eurogamer just never learns do they and people quote their articles as being trustworthy news... This article alone ...
Well they put it on the Wii instead of PS3! Im not so sure these Japanese developers are looking forward to the high development costs that HD systems bring.
Because it's based in France makes me wonder if Ubisoft has a hand in it! There's a new post on N4G about Ubisoft set to announce a new gaming IP relatively soon. So maybe they are publishing this game while putting together a fairly large experienced team to create something large and along the lines of Skyrim in sheer scope and size. Whatever it is, its got my attention...
I think someone brought up in comments that the NES had multiple SKU's when it launched over here in the states.
Edit: So the NES launched at $89- system only w/2 gamepads and at $99- system, 2 gamepads and Mario Bros. So if the multiple SKU's is accurate then Nintendo is really looking back on the past for inspiration of this systems launch.
Unless a 3rd party developer leaks the specs, Nintendo will never give out the exact hardware that they utilized in this system. That's how they've always been and it's not going to change anytime before the launch of this console either. Nintendo has learned their lessons from the past about info leaking out and have even more strict NDA's then ever before this time...
I agree and Nintendo Power, one would think that they should be as credible as they come when it comes to being a source for Nintendo news!
You my friend are thinking of a game just being upscaled to 1080p which isn't true 1080p! If a game is to truly support that image quality, the texture samples and artwork must reflect that resolution scale. Otherwise it's faux 1080p... Which is why people that know what they are speaking of ask if the game is native 720p or 1080p, or just being upscaled. I know most on this site would quote that the current systems have been doing 720p for years. But that's not entirely true for ...
So the developer isn't taking the effort to support a higher resolution on the console. It has no bearing on the WiiU system itself, but EA... I'm more surprised by the studio handling the port though, "Straight Right?" I have never heard of them before this and couldn't even name one game that they've made. But anyhow I'm sure this thread will be in the 100`s of comments by days end though!
720p, 1080p I'm just ready for the system to launch already....
I 100% agree with you... Gaming is gaming and that's how it should be! Plus I just have to agree with a guy that makes refference to "Tropic Thunder" what a classic :)
Was gonna say the same thing but you made my point!
I just hope if $200 is the launch price that Nintendo gets the manufacturing situations straightened out now, because this thing will cause hysteria this holiday season...
Lol! That's so funny...
I think some people come here and make baseless comments without thinking, Hmm maybe other people here actually know real GameStop employees!
Kudos for that comment though...
Just because the current consoles might only be breaking even at $200, doesn't mean that a company can't build a better more powerful system for the same asking price and still make money on it. The Sega Saturn was technically on paper a more powerful console than the PS1, but PS1 games generally always looked much better and was a cheaper system to produce.(I mention the Saturn because Sega just threw all sorts of processors in this thing and didn't care how they worked together!...
How are games like AC3 and Most of the WiiU launch titles re-releases? Batman is the only game that came out on previous consoles last year. Other than that ME3 and Ninja Gaiden 3 both came out this year and that's where the re-releases end! Some people try way to hard these days...
To make things easier for the one company to rule them all fanboys here on N4G. If during this console generation you have either only owned one console or purchsed multiple versions of the same console from that same company. Then please stop classifying yourself as a hardcore gamer, because you are not! Real hardcore has nothing to do with the manufacturer and everything to do with the experience obtained from gaming in general. I liken hardcore gaming to a drug addiction, because if you ca...
Well I personally think it should be a download only title and am pretty stoked that its not packed in. I have every intention on getting the WiiU the day that it comes out, but none for playing Nintendo Land! So this just works out perfect in the end...
