With proper marketing and the right games, that number is pretty low. My guess is that in its first 14 months it will sell close to 20mil worldwide. Remember, 14 months from its Nov 18th launch is actually including 2 holiday seasons in that time-frame... Handhelds maybe extremely popular in Japan, but consoles are king in the western markets. So as long as Nintendo makes this the must have device, it will continue to fly off of store shelves for sometime to come.
That wasn't what I was told when I went into my local GameStop. The manager there said that it is expected to be a launch title but they haven't received a SKU for it just yet...

I'm sure the same thing was said about Capcom when they completely ressurrected the RE franchise on the GC. No one was buying it anymore on PS2, so Capcom took it to a new audience and RE4 was born. Easily one of the greatest games to come from that generation and put newfound interest in an old franchise.
Well that's what I was getting at, but it might have come across wrong. Getting your pre-order in is the one sure way to guarantee that you will have one on launch day without having to stand in line somewhere. So if the hysteria sets in that this thing will be hard to come by for some time to come. Then those that just figure I'll just get it at a later date, might find that easier said then done when the time comes...
Its not about seeing pre-rendered shots of anything really! I'm just shocked that so many fans throw UC2 out like its the best looking game ever created in history... its a great game and a great looking PS3 title for sure, but many conclude TLOU to be the best looking PS3 game and I can already say that I've seen videos of ingame footage of that game and WiiU launch titles that prove its just a matter of very short timing before WiiU games put this gen to shame...
For all the people that say they can wait, they may end up having to if this things becomes a very huge success this holiday season!

I think many people maybe missing the point with NintendoTVii! It's not about the system just including Netflix, Hulu or Amazon streaming into the box. I think Nintendo is taking a page out of Microsoft's book here and will only make the Basic bundle cheaper over time, while the Premium will probably get extra features and game bundles but stay at the $350 price tag it started at.
