Once again if Microsoft themselves have stated that the projected goal is to make the next Xbox 6-8x the power of the 360 and the WiiU is roughly 3-4x the capabilities of the 360. Then how is the WiiU not preceived as a true next-gen console?
So let me get this straight for the people that believe that the WiiU will be in the same boat as the Wii. The PS3/360 were approx say 10-14x more powerful than the Wii was and provided HD graphics where the Wii could not. So how will PS4 and 720 put WiiU in the same place as the Wii? Whether you agree or disagree with Nintendo's vision, the WiiU will sell, be marketed and measured as an 8th generation console by the media, retail chains, analyst and statistics groups alike! So people can climb out of this bubble refusing to accept it as a next-gen console.
Absolutely! And for those that feel they want to wait for both the 720 and PS4 then goodluck. Because that's one thing that I won't do again is buy all 3 consoles next-gen. I can justify owning a WiiU and PS4, but simply not a PS4 and 720 together! I know I will be able to get a varied game experience by owning both the PS4 & WiiU but this gen alone kind of proved how next-gen will end up going. I'm surprised that nobody has pointed this out yet, but for Nintendo being a Japanese company I think they finally realize that Japan is not their most important market. When has any product of theirs launched last in Japan?
This was very smart and a big jab at Apple! Just watching how intergrated the device is with sports is going to make this sell alone. I was really blown away by how in depth this part of the system is fleshed out...

I would say depending on how expensive the PS4 ends up being will determine if I buy one at launch. I waited until the PS3 hit $400 before I bought it, so hopefully Sony doesn't go nuts on pricing this thing when it comes out!
I agree! Alot of people want to draw the comparison of this WiiU exclusive to that of Red Steel. But to put it plainly, Ubisoft just isn't the same company that they were back then and have stepped their game up immensely this past generation...
@Kos-Mos: It is quite simple actually and no different then when I go to Amazon to buy a product and see the users reviews of what they liked and disliked about it. If a product receives an overall unfavorable view it must be for a reason. But in that same context if a product gets a pretty good review overall, then that to is for a reason. Your gripe simply may not be my gripe about a game at the end of the day...

All of the Nintendo WiiU experiences that are going across the country have all been pretty much positive actually! The focus should be on the launch games because that was what plagued system launches in the past. As others have stated here though, there are only but a few short days left for the details all to be made final... So I think we can wait till then without writing the system off because we didn't get the info last Thursday instead.
Its such a hard sell that's why pretty much all day people have been running to GameStop, putting their pre-orders in... Once the TV ads roll out on this thing it will be Wii hysteria all over again.
