they aren't even the same genre though. Titanfall was just as dull and repetitive as Destiny will become.
I was down on this game after the beta but decided to pick it up yesterday after watching people enjoying it on twitch. I have to say that while I still think Destiny is nothing groundbreaking or revolutionary, it's a cool game when you get into it.
One headsccratcher though is playing competitive matches against people ranked significantly higher and has better gear.
Also the lack of communication hurts the game especially when people can be in the sam...
With the outrageous hype behind Destiny Bungie needed to protect the game. With more gamers relying on reviews as of late and games costing $60, people are more cautious with their money. Destiny is more reliant on the online aspect so gamers will need online subscriptions too. This became problematic for Titanfall, it's nowhere near as active as it was around launch.
The industry needs Destiny to be a success due to the lack of quality games but the resounding thoughts ...
After playing the beta I came away feeling that Destiny is a mediocre effort in a stale genre. However, this game is going to get high review scores because this generation has been a dud game wise. The industry needs this game to succeed so watch all the 9 marks it gets.
From the limited beta to me it will warrant no higher than a 7. There's nothing groundbreaking about it, and it's easily one of the worst looking games I've seen this generation.
*Make good games that actually work
BF3, MoH, MoH WF, BF4..yeah, let's not bring this up dice....
this is beginning to get comical. Push all the games we want into 2015, for 2014 keep pumping out multi-gen's that will cause res issues, and remakes that nobody want, except TLOU :).
You'll never bad mouth your own product, it would hinder sales. When the game is all but dead then feel free to tell the truth about it. Just ask EA with their last iterations of NBA Live.
These companies are getting sloppy but most of the blame can be placed at Sony and MS' feet. They released the consoles too early. There's a severe lack of quality engaging titles.
The headline is entirely misleading. It's making it seem like Crytek is singling out the X1 as the only inferior console when they are saying both current gen consoles are weak. This is something a reasonable person will honestly admit. PCs will always be the leader when it comes to tech.
I haven't had issues at all.
You can tell by the endings of TW2, story wise TW3 would have a more linear path. That invasion happened regardless at the end of TW2.
I wouldn't trust overkill with this game's development. After the debacle that was payday 2, they won't get a dime from me.
For those that don't know: Payday 2 launch was a gigantic clusterf***, then they didn't support the game at all on xb360. And when asked about it, they mocked xb360 players.
Think about it though, PC gamers have it better in those regards. They already get the games cheaper and even for free if they were into torrentz, plus modding which can dramatically improve a game, and free online play.
Graphics - PC wins
Versatility - PC wins
Free Play - PC wins
So when a PS4 gamer gets on their high horse and starts browbeating the prowess of the machine, to me it's funny when they get put in their place by the facts t...
This and Quantum Break are what i'm looking forward to
CoD AW is a complete ripoff of a few games. Titanfall's vertical gameplay, the swimming of battlefield, the tech of Ghost Recon
The problem with this delay is that 2015 is already crowded. Inevitably some releases will be pushed back into 2016.
So much hype is setting this game up for failure. A new IP being compared to some of the biggest franchises in the history of gaming is ridiculous. Focus on establishing itself first. This amount of hype will be detrimental, mark my words.
Also be warned, with GWG on X1, you need XBOX LIVE GOLD to be able to play the games you get. They will not work without gold. I don't know why MS followed Sony's direction on that but hey it is what it is now.
I'm with you on that. But due to the lack of games this generation I don't see either MS or Sony giving away a triple A title for free. So they keep giving away these lower tier games. Something is better than nothing I guess, but it's becoming laughable at least this generation. Oh and dishonored is dirt cheap for them to still have it priced at 19.99 is crazy.
To say TLOU wasn't already considered for an "HD" remake on the PS4 would be lying to yourself. I loved TLOU, still do, but they added some better textures and the DLC only to release the game again a year later. I hope the new PS owners will enjoy it as much as I did. I can't justify buying it again though.
What I learned:
Titanfall was exactly as advertised
Watchdogs was decent but lacked polish
Destiny wasn't as bad as I thought it was
