Yes, the giant jellyfish kind to be precise. Seriously though a subscription service will provide frictionless access to games, be cheaper and possibly allow game devs and publisher's to a bit more creative as they ditch this rigid adherence to a particular price point
Neflix, Hulu and the like have already proven this model to be quite good for both the consumers and the corporations.
I find my self generally agreeing with this, the caveats being you will never be able to own the games you play and the games you do get to access will be determined solely by the platform holder. An Xbox Game Pass like service seems like a fair trade off though.
To be fair to the reviewer, they said they were not impressed not that the graphics were not good. Quite frankly, this gen we have been spoiled.
To all the people who were not worried about the quality of the facial animations a month out from the games launch. There it is for all to see.
Have you not played the original Zelda ? which was for its time an open world game. You get dropped of in field with nothing at the start of the game and from then on you explore the world to your hearts content. Zelda has finally gone back to its roots.
Did you see FireWatch,Recore, Ratchet and clank or heck even some of Nintendo's own games?. Its ok if Ninty want to use the retro triangular style but the game needs more detail, density and creative design. It is designed the way starfox 64 was designed.
IMO the worst era to parrot for design would probably be the 6th gen. I agree with those who think starfox looks embarrassing visually.
but starfox is back so one can't really complain.
The footage live from the nintendo treehouse looks alot better but with a holiday release date the visuals are not going get that much better. They will probably spend more time actually designing levels and getting the game to run at 60. It defintely is a let down, star fox should look as good as 3D world. In a perfect world it would rival the new ratchet and clank in terms of visuals. Even so the star fox team is back so I really can't complain.
LOL! good one.
Now all the Chief needs is a bottle of Captain Morgan.
6 months for off tv play and an map.
I think @DaGR8JIBRALTARThere's assessment is correct, there is a reason why no other company would publish this game.
These statistics prove many that many WiiU owners are adults. They do not prove Nintendo games are not childish.
My comment was intended for RAFFwaff who seems to think the author of this and the metro article are the same person.
The reviewer is a woman and it is clearly written at the top of the page.
But in most games you don't take an active role in telling the story. In most games the story is told through cut scenes where you are unable to interact with it.
You could use the analogue stick to control throttle, two face buttons to brake and use the triggers to shift gears. That is how I play Gran Turismo with a controller and works rather well although forgoing a controller altogether for a steering wheel is much more suitable.
Most developers with their "creative freedom" choose to create tough, stubble faced, shaven head gruff white males. People are rightfully questioning how much freedom there actually is in the creative process. Its not just characters that need to diversify its game mechanics, themes and stories as well. When was the last time you played a AAA game that didn't involve combat as part of its main mechanic or story?
True words, but doesn't saying "the villain isn't even white" suppose that to be racist one must be white and that because he is not,he is not racist. Now I am not saying the villain is racist but he could be. I guess its part of the programming, now we are kind of conditioned to associate racism and white people but what if the roles were reversed and pagan min's hand was on top of a white man I wonder if anyone would have still called it racist ?
The creator of this game is going regret making his game a WiiU exclusive.
I wish.
