Yep, even my 1996 Nintendo 64 controller still works fine its a bit loose, but the sensitivity is still present, and there is no drifting. First party companies are intentionally taking the piss with us, and its not right. The DualSense Edge allows you to replace the analog sticks, but that's a feature which should be present on all standard controllers from Sony / Nin / MS, without having to pay $200 for the privilege just to pay them more for replacement sticks.
My Du...
Ooh, I always wanted to try Crimson Dragon, this has my interest.
I heard the two Contra games on PS2 were great, but extremely difficult. I'm scared but also excited to play them at some point!
I never played Shinobi, but I did play a little of the sequel, Nightshade, I beat the first level and put it down, I need to go back and complete both games. I do remember magazines back then talking about how hard PS2 Shinobi was, and if I remember correctly there are no checkpoints, so if you die, it can be frustrating to start all over agai...
Ready for the 5 Pro!
Remember, there's no need to complain about it if you don't want it, just skip it entirely and you won't lose out on games. As for me, I've always known this was coming, so I've been waiting for it before I jump into the PS5 gen.
Indeed, I have even recently bought hall effect third party controllers on pre-order last month, but I made no mention of third parties in my previous post. I specifically mentioned first party, which are usually the best build quality (outside of the potentiometer analog sticks).
Sadly he's not. He really is that deep up Spencer's buttcrack.
As if they weren't already overpriced enough as it is. And all 3 first party companies refuse to use hall effect analog sticks on purpose, just to sell more us controllers.
Sega used hall effect analog sticks for both Saturn and Dreamcast.
Both games look good so far, I like the thick black lines in Shinobi's art style. Unsure if I'll buy Crazy Taxi, especially if it has live service elements, but I'm still looking forward to their releases!
Out of the games that you listed I beat:
Urban Reign (great brawler!), I don't remember it being that hard. I should go back and replay it.
Jak II, beat it twice, yeah it had a few hard missions, but I don't think it should be on a 'Hardest Games list'.
Manhunt, was it really that hard? Its been so long now since I played it. Damn, the first half of the game is so good, so intense.
Maximo, the game was hard, but...
I know that Days Gone is mostly loved here on N4G, and I did beat the game, but I found it to be so overrated. And ever since release this guy had been so annoying regarding his overrated game. He thinks of his game as a masterpiece, but Astro Bot pisses all over Days Gone embarrassingly bad QTE 'final boss' and laughably bad ending.
He needs to just be quiet now.
The game will probably come back as free to play, but I agree that all online games should have Peer-to-Peer hosting support when end-of-life.
Fortunately, a lot of old games have been resurrected with fan servers. Many, but not all, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox games are now back online.
Nice to hear. Many of the Sony Japan developers moved to Team Asobi, so they're the best team to make another Ape Escape game.
Yeah indeed, plans can't shift in an instant, especially with such long development times these days. We won't see Herman Hulst's 'touch' for awhile longer still. It could take a year or two before we're fully past Ryan's affect on PlayStation.
My personal pick is a game called Super Cloudbuilt. Though, there's a serious problem, the game has been delisted on both PS4 and XBO. The only way to play it on PS4 now is if your console is hacked, which is unfortunate.
There is a different version of the game called Cloudbuilt available on Steam, but there's some differences between the two. If you have a hacked PS4, and you like fast-paced 3D platformers, do not skip Super Cloudbuilt, the game can get hard, but ...
He loved the game, 9.5 / 10.
There's some slight spoilers, so I skipped through some of it not to ruin any of the surprises, but overall a glowing and detailed review.
Not every game needs to be ultra serious, dark, and gritty. Happy to see a non-indie studio embrace the weird, wacky, silly, and playful nature of games. They almost feel like a Nintendo first party studio, which Sony really needs in this current era more than ever.
Now make Ape Escape 4, please?
The Jim Ryan era is over, it'll take some time for things to improve under Herman Hulst, assuming it does, but he comes from a game developer background, so there is hope.
Title translation: Publishers don't want to release good games because they're so focused on making live service trash, using gambling and FOMO tactics on weak minded whales to trick them into giving all their money in exchange for digital junk.
Don't support it, and let the publishers suffer the consequences.
I'd love for MS to release a new high quality Conker (not family friendly admittedly), Blinx, or Banjo game. But with phoolish Phil in charge, don't expect great things to come. 😕
Damn, I wonder if someone is going to receive a sizable paycut for that screw up. 😬
