Yes, nice that we can add one but it should have been included with that high price tag.
I'm not too upset over the $700 USD price, the 5 Pro is a beast, but they really should have included the drive with it, which wouldn't have cost them much.
But that said I'm going to get one anyway.
Of course it will, though you may get lucky with an unlocked VRR mode that bounces between 30 - 45 FPS on base 5 and Series X.
Ezio: "Requiescat in pace."
Add-on drive is compatible.
Its compatible with the slim add-on drive. So increase the price by another $80 USD. Total $780 USD + tax. Yikes.
Drive should have been included with the console at its $700 price. 🫤
$700 USD without a disc drive is crazy. Sony doesn't take hardware cost hits anymore for sure.
You'll only get the last point on your wishlist.
Firmwares are usually discussed on the blog.
PS6 may finally offer up a PS3 emulator, but 5 Pro CPU isn't powerful enough.
Good, burn yourselves up.
Ubisoft, a long time ago you were a great publisher, but over the past decade you've gone out of your way to create these protracted, filler experiences, and pack them with micro-trash-actions.
You intentionally create a problem with grindy slog fake 'RPG' games, and then you sell the solution for $10 in order to accrue EXP at what should have been the normal rate. Another $10 to accrue resources at a normal rate as well.
Damn, I wonder if someone is going to receive a sizable paycut for that screw up. 😬
Yep, even my 1996 Nintendo 64 controller still works fine its a bit loose, but the sensitivity is still present, and there is no drifting. First party companies are intentionally taking the piss with us, and its not right. The DualSense Edge allows you to replace the analog sticks, but that's a feature which should be present on all standard controllers from Sony / Nin / MS, without having to pay $200 for the privilege just to pay them more for replacement sticks.
My Du...
Ooh, I always wanted to try Crimson Dragon, this has my interest.
I heard the two Contra games on PS2 were great, but extremely difficult. I'm scared but also excited to play them at some point!
I never played Shinobi, but I did play a little of the sequel, Nightshade, I beat the first level and put it down, I need to go back and complete both games. I do remember magazines back then talking about how hard PS2 Shinobi was, and if I remember correctly there are no checkpoints, so if you die, it can be frustrating to start all over agai...
Ready for the 5 Pro!
Remember, there's no need to complain about it if you don't want it, just skip it entirely and you won't lose out on games. As for me, I've always known this was coming, so I've been waiting for it before I jump into the PS5 gen.
Indeed, I have even recently bought hall effect third party controllers on pre-order last month, but I made no mention of third parties in my previous post. I specifically mentioned first party, which are usually the best build quality (outside of the potentiometer analog sticks).
Sadly he's not. He really is that deep up Spencer's buttcrack.
As if they weren't already overpriced enough as it is. And all 3 first party companies refuse to use hall effect analog sticks on purpose, just to sell more us controllers.
Sega used hall effect analog sticks for both Saturn and Dreamcast.
Both games look good so far, I like the thick black lines in Shinobi's art style. Unsure if I'll buy Crazy Taxi, especially if it has live service elements, but I'm still looking forward to their releases!
Out of the games that you listed I beat:
Urban Reign (great brawler!), I don't remember it being that hard. I should go back and replay it.
Jak II, beat it twice, yeah it had a few hard missions, but I don't think it should be on a 'Hardest Games list'.
Manhunt, was it really that hard? Its been so long now since I played it. Damn, the first half of the game is so good, so intense.
Maximo, the game was hard, but...
Glad you're an ex staffer, what a corporate douche.
