With that look, it should have have been named the Xbox Series Y
I'll say that if you compare Uncharted 1 vs Tomb Raider reboot 1, sure TR1 is better. But that stops there. Uncharted 2, 3 and 4 are epic follow-ups whereas TR 2 and 3 are more of the same with almost no story continuation. The TR franchise got really lazy and unimpressive. That's also why I have zero hype about the Avengers game, more of those stone face characters Crystal Dynamics seems to like to give us.
Well, this is kinda what you get when you push a half-ass game to the public. It's repetitive, there are glitches everywhere and the mechanic is of some PS2 games, though with really nice graphics. I know it's not the same studio, but it's the same publisher, and I couldn't believe this was from the same guys who published 2 stellar AC games. It should have been free to play or one of those experimental 30-40$ from the start, it's not even near AAA.
Maybe for the game somebody might not as hyped and can wait, but let's Last of Us Part 2, no way I'm waiting for a PS5 remaster of something like that, day 1. That's like saying that knowing movies will be on digital 4-5 months after release in theater put them in an awkward position, not really.
Not really, Sony owns the character and sold some rights to Marvel, not the other way around. It's way different than what Marvel did with Hulk, X-Men, FF back in the days.
Not that easy, Sony has the movie rights, more than half-hour tv rights (hence the future projects we're hearing about) and is the sole owner of the character. Marvel has the comics rights, half-hour cartoons tv rights and merchandising. I'm not sure what's the status of video games, but I would think Sony shopped them in the past and decided to keep it to themselves now.
@bluefox755 I think being late a year against the 360 hurt the fidelity on the system.
As long as fairness is alive, I don't really mind, but the game industry giants are so shitty that I wouldn't be surprised that let's say EA gives the console they have some deal with an advantage in matches, like weapons are only accessible through this console, power-ups, whatever that gives you an edge against the other consoles' players. Even stuff like sugar bullets that give no damage once in a while against the advantaged console's gamers.
They made a big mistake teasing it almost 3 years ago because now we know that this is like 4-5 of development and it still looks like a proof of concept kind of gameplay and character design. It's looks boring, ugly and uninspired. The same gameplay for a lego game wouldn't worry because it's primarily for kids, but for that releases like 1.5 year after Spider-Man wowed everybody, this looks basic af.
Nice, someone modded a lego game to make it more realistic. But seriously, it looks generic af and somewhat sketchy, just like the 3rd Tomb Raider was.
That's what happens when old and uneducated (on purpose) on the matter are running the show. It's not the individuals and their interpretation of the hate messages running through the media, it's not what the individuals are using to commit their acts, it's entertainment. What's now video games, has been Marilyn Manson, Eminem, Slipknot, movies. Even directly blaming suicides on 13 Reasons is ludicrous. Good thing medias have not a rumor that the kid was a big consumer of ...
They created that backlash, they announced the title with a 0:50 basic video back at the very beginning of 2017, then went radio silent until this year and showed a very underwhelming trailer with fugly character designs. And we're supposed to be hyped for this and think this could be a great game when we're just 9 months away from release...nah.
What's your top 3 great games of the last few years then just to see where you're at.
Highly disagree, I like the mid-gen upgrade that's way higher than what they could do as opposed to pro model at launch. Tech gets better and cheaper after 3-4 years, slap it a 100$ higher price tag than base model, that's perfect, that's a real choice, but if it's at launch, to have way better specs it would probably have to be 200-300$ higher than base model and almost no one will buy it.
Oh boy, can't wait...
I know you guys need content, but PC was supposed to kill consoles, then it was mobile games and now it's cloud gaming. Digital isn't even as popular as I thought it would be in 2019 so the possibility of people paying 60$ for no physical, no digital, but only the rights to stream a games because they're only ready to pay 130$ upfront instead of 400$ just doesn't make sense.
Classic dev tricks, put stuff darker, blur the details here and there, remove some useless stuff. You probably won't see the difference that much in game.
But unlike the MCU Spider-Man that's like 15, the one we got in the game was around 25 and they gave him a suit that's never been done.
This one has similarly aged cast, same cast as the OG MCU Avengers besides the one no one cares about, the oufits are similar and they even redid that shot where Banner jumps as himself and lands as Hulk, I mean c'mon.
Great for them for sticking to their design and great for me for sticking to the idea of not buying that awful looking game.
Sadly for them, it's impossible to polish a turd.
